MagicMarkets

The prediction market for serious sports traders.

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

Out of stealth today.

25+ venues. Global sports liquidity. One order book. One wallet. No added fees.

@natehopps on what we built and why:

[Nate Hopps @natehopps]

Prediction markets, sportsbooks and sports exchanges have never been connected in a single venue. Today they are. @magicmarkets is out of stealth and open to everyone. 25+ venues, one order book, one wallet the full depth and liquidity of the global sports market.

For months we served institutional clients only, mostly by API. From today the beta pro frontend and the API are open to all. That includes hard-to-access old-world sportsbook venues many traders can't get near.

Here is what it means for you (a thread):

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

Pay fees, leave profit on the table. Thumper is Magic for finding value.

[TEB @tebrabbit]

1/ i built a chrome extension for @magicmarkets that shows you when polymarket isn't the cheapest place to take a sports position
it's called thumper. Free to use, no account required 🧵

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

New: Deposit in seconds with @BlinkCashX, get access to the most sports liquidity anywhere in the world. About as easy as it gets.

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

By this time next week, there will be more elections liquidity available on MagicMarkets than any other venue in the world. Mark our words. https://t.co/1qBq5OP2NI

Flash sales come and go. Theyre nice while they last. But we cannot wave fees for NBA games because we never have fees on NBA games.

[TheBlockBull @BlockBullz]

What stands out to me about Thumper is how much of the price checking process it brings together in one place.

imagine following several football games before kickoff. Manually checking every market across multiple platforms takes time, and comparing headline prices alone doesn’t always show what you’d actually get when you place an order.

Thumper lets you compare prices across Polymarket and MagicMarkets, inspect order book depth and potential price impact, calculate potential payouts, and set alerts when a significant price difference appears.

that makes it more than a quick price checker. it gives you more information to evaluate before choosing where to take a position.

it won’t predict the match or guarantee an edge, but it can help you avoid deciding without checking the available prices first.

worth exploring if sports prediction markets are part of your regular workflow @magicmarkets

[0xEmoni @0xEmoni]

If you're trading sports markets on Polymarket, Thumper is a chrome extension worth checking out.

Built for @magicmarkets, it helps you find the best prices by comparing odds across both platforms, including fees.

- Real time price comparisons
- Better odds alerts
- Market insights
- Track and compare your open positions
- Free to use, no account required

Even a 2¢ difference can add up over time.

Try it!

Quick check before your next Polymarket sports trade: compare the payout

Thumper is a free Chrome extension that puts @magicmarkets prices next to the market you’re already viewing, so you can compare the same outcome without switching tabs

> Better price on Magic? Trade there
> Better on Polymarket? Now you know

Thumper is live - and MagicMarkets charges zero commission

[AlphaWolf @AlphaWolfPRMR]

the more prediction market tools the better

especially when it helps you find the cheapest price on your sports predictions

> market price on your Polymarket trade slip doesn't always show the final fees
> use Thumper (from @magicmarkets ) shows MagicMarkets best price
> compare the all-in payout to find your best option

compare your prices before you make the actual prediction

[Wolfgang🐺 @wolf_de_web3]

this is actually a shocking discovery to me

the price you see isn’t always the price you actually get.

for people who follow sports markets on Polymarket, check this out.

Thumper is a free Chrome extension from @MagicMarkets that lets you compare Polymarket prices with MagicMarkets without switching between tabs.

Here’s a real example from the UCL market for Stuttgart vs Atlético Madrid:

Atlético Madrid was priced at 47¢ on Polymarket, but Thumper showed 46.7¢ on MagicMarkets, all-in per $1 payout.

That’s a $1.50 difference in winnings per $100 paid out, according to the comparison.

The reason? Polymarket’s displayed price doesn’t include its 1.25¢ per-share taker fee, while MagicMarkets’ quoted odds are all-in.

A simple tool, but a useful reminder to compare the actual cost before making a decision.

great product from @tebrabbit and the @MagicMarkets team.

Also Magic.

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

Lots of people are building price comparison terminals (some very cool!), but @tebrabbit built an extension that injects best price into your actual trade slip, no matter what site you're on.

Lucky for us, @tebrabbit added a toggle in the sidebar, so it's easy to see taker costs on the price itself. (He's the man. Follow him for more hot stuff.)

Up we go.

[Predict Time @predicttime_]

Trading volumes in the Polymarket Builders Program over the past week:

1. @betmoardotfun: $26.69M
2. https://t.co/nEayIM0QRK: $15.87M
3. @Gate: $13.62M
4. @magicmarkets: $8.37M
5. @SpreadCore_xyz: $8.22M
6. @SharkbettingCom: $7.51M
7. @polymtrade: $6.70M
8. @jup_predict: $3.53M
9. @pots_market: $3.46M
10. NoArb: $3.25M

Polymarket recorded approximately $530M in dollar trading volume over October 3-9. Activity was likely supported by the aftermath of Brazil’s first-round election, positioning ahead of the Fed’s October rate decision, and uncertainty around the US-Iran ceasefire - giving traders several major political and macro events to price in

Yeah, but this year:

[MagicMarkets @magicmarkets]

12.1% to be exact.

[CB @CryptoBetsss]

Love to see the MagicMarkets price beat Poly by 12% on a heavily traded ATP match. There is just no way I'd ever pay those fees again.

The puck drops tonight.
