In hopes the good karma will be returned when I try to emerge from these situations. It's not something that should be expected like you said but I don't believe it should be avoided full stop

@IMissHitchSlaps @GPrime85 A lot of the Highway Code is just common sense, and should a situation need it then the code should be referred to. Your statement about foreign people seems rooted in personal bias. My goal was not to oppose the 2,3,1 answer but to add an alternative.
