Caveman character I made for the documentary ‘Groundswell’ on Amazon Prime. This was fun and had to come out fast. Used character creator, ZBrush, blender, substance painter, marvelous designer.
Would love to chat character art with more 3D Artists!
@aollivier82 Astra managed to capture the skill level of someone who watched 10 minutes of a tutorial and the proceeds to just resize the spheres over and over instead of adding any kind of detail. I don’t see the point. You could do this yourself in a quarter of the time
I want AI bros to tell me one use case for this technology
making models for your 3D movie? with a shitty AI script? why are you even making a 3D movie with AI in the first place? I thought you were able to just generate a video file with AI, what happened to that?
even if its cool that AI can make a model, why the fuck are you making it use Blender like a human??? just let it generate the fucking, I don’t know, .blend or .fbx file
none of the use cases for media creation with AI ever fucking make any sense aside from being very base placeholder stuff
I just know that this tech will never go past being some showcase thing because it is never aware of what the fuck it is doing. can it differentiate a CGI model from a game ready model on the fly? does it know how to optimise the shading? why would someone even use this model? for an animation? at that point why not just let AI generate 2D concept images, and then let it generate animation videos based on those? I thought AI was supposed to be about speed, why are you waiting for it to make a model like a human and then wait for it to render on your local machine?
it all comes down to cost cutting from hiring humans doesn’t it you spineless liars? tell me who the fuck is going to buy your machines, subscriptions, softwares when all the artists you want to fire can’t actually afford anything? what will you do when people can’t even care to consume the slop you create?
Capcom said No AI-generated art, models, textures, or other assets will appear in final released games. All shipped content remains 100% human-created.
> "We will not be implementing materials generated by AI into our games content."
@sanguinetales@Smug9991@Stylishstout On the other IG posts, the images with masks are realistic but easy to spot as masks. I think this post is just trying to capitalize on the drama. Which for a mask maker is a good opportunity to stir it up, but yea too realistic compared to the other posts.
@TylerHuckabee This shit makes me so sad. AI takes away the value of any idea by giving you the ability to see the worst version of it immediately and then giving you no choice but to move on to the next thing. Without effort you can see anything so now we’re desensitized to everything.
@Knightly_Hist Isn’t Warhorse also supporting this game in some way? I feel like I have seen their socials repost the kickstarter or something like that
@CultureCrave It’ll happen. There are tools that speed up game development, but for big games like this the art assets and the systems are very detailed. Takes time. I’m not surprised, but it better be amazing
