People who spend long periods of time at home and slowly lose the desire to go outside often think they're just resting. But psychologically, many of them are experiencing something called mental rumination. It's a state where the brain starts slowing down while the number of thoughts inside keeps increasing and the motivation to do anything slowly disappears. The mind gets stuck in the past, worries about the future and burns itself out. This isn't laziness, it's a nervous system stuck in survival mode. And the longer it lasts, the more distant normal life begins to feel. And the difficult part is that you usually can't escape it through one massive burst of motivation. And sometimes, recovery starts with just one small step.
In 2015, Tom Holland landed the role of Spider-Man after a worldwide casting search that saw more than 1,500 actors audition for the character’s debut in Captain America: Civil War.
His background in gymnastics, dance, and acrobatics allowed him to bring many of Spider-Man’s movements to life naturally, while his on-screen chemistry with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans played a key role in securing the part.
Tom later revealed that he discovered he had been cast after spotting Marvel’s announcement on Instagram, before receiving the official phone call from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.
Cashier: That'll be $47.50.
Customer: Can you make it an even $50?
Cashier: You... want me to charge you more?
Customer: Yeah, I don't like change.
Cashier: I can't just overcharge you.
Customer: Why not? It's my money.
Cashier: The register won't let me.
Customer: This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.
@jk_rowling It could be alongside the one Andrea Dworkin suggested, when I asked her how she would like to be remembered: "In a museum, when male supremacy is dead. I'd like my work to be an anthropological artefact from an extinct, primitive society."
Trans people ' minding their own business' 🤔 No,
they are not , as this number says less than 1% of the UK population and yet they have dragged us 'cis gender, hateful Terfs' into the Courts for wanting to protect our Rights, and also protect our Kids from brutal invasive surgery that you zealots keep insisting we all have to agree to.
Stick to your own lane.
This post by the egregious @SamanthaNiblet4 is actually really useful. It shows just how deranged some MPs have become by the trans issue.
The question is actually very simple. Either you believe biological men can pose a threat to biological women, which is why we have sex-based safeguarding in the first place, or you believe a man becomes less of a safeguarding risk simply by declaring himself to be a woman.
Despite how obviously absurd the latter proposition is, Samantha is visibly distressed that so many women don’t want men in dresses walking into their toilets and changing rooms. Most people understand that safeguarding has to be based on biology. It’s the only objective standard that makes any sense.
It’s also telling that she’s making this video on holiday, sunglasses on, recording another social media monologue. The politicians of my youth had real character and intellectual heft; now we have these vacuous and dimwitted MPs peddling dangerous twaddle.
The challenges we face in 2026 are huge yet, somehow, scores of ridiculous TikTok politicians spend all their publicly funded time engaged in performative activism and pushing the latest fashionable ideology. It’s a depressing reflection of modern politics.
@lisaVictorri@lisaVictorri, get suspicious of why your boyfriend doesn’t like your dog. Dogs are naturally loving and loyal, and give humans unconditional acceptance Granted, some people aren’t dog lovers, but still. I’d say talk to your boyfriend about this, as this subject is a dealbreaker!
This is a problem.
Nobody asked for a PRIVATE COMPANY to do what the government is not allowed to do, constitutionally.
Spy on American Citizens.
Its completely against our rights, whether or not you think they're a good or bad thing.
A business, is bypassing our constitution.
You cannot out-think overthinking. Trying to think your way out of overthinking is like trying to put out fire with gasoline. To break the loop, act. Take a small step. Just do something. Clean your room. Wash the dishes. Go for a walk. Declutter your desk. To get out of your head, bring your attention to the present.
@Jennifer55gt That’s wonderful! @Jennifer55gt, keep up the great work and stay as far away from your abuser as you can, no matter how tempted you feel.
@Sofia50020Sofia Silverware, a cup of orange juice, a glass of water, and a napkin are missing. Also, I don’t like my food charred, but that’s just me…
Stop trying to save people from the consequences of their actions. You enable their patterns. You take away the lesson they need to experience to grow and evolve. You train them to rely on you. You drain yourself by carrying their burden. You're not the "fixer" of their lives.
