A huge well done to Raheem Sterling, Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho 🖤
To people of colour impacted by racist responses, remember that our humanity and value to society is not determined by our accomplishments. Respect is the bare minimum of what we deserve.
I have some things to say about @NatalieElphicke's disgusting comments about @MarcusRashford. I grew up down the road from Marcus and I relied on free school meals for my only meal of the day, so excuse me for taking what she says personally and not letting this go unsaid. (1/4)
Pick a side:
Marcus Rashford - Pride of Manchester, donates his wealth to charity, uses his platform to campaign against child hunger, helps at foodbanks with his Mum
Tory Ministers & MPs - Give racists a license to boo black England players, vote to leave hungry kids to starve
Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka all received racist abuse on social media after #ENG's #EURO2020 final defeat to #ITA.
Wrong. Disgusting. Unacceptable.
This HAS TO STOP.
Absolutely sickening to see the racism directed towards England players after last night from our own fans. Just not being racist isn’t enough anymore. We have to stamp it out and be proactive in fighting this problem. Disgusting!!!
If Instagram can flag up anything covid related and add swipe up links within seconds, why can’t they remove racist accounts and delete racist comments? 🤷♀️
To be very damn clear it's not just the football/cricket that's makes no sense.
100+ strangers in a pub - fine
Hot sweaty zumba class - fine
Exact same church for any other service - fine
Weddings - only 30 as they're "super spreaders"
Bollocks to logic!

@BorisJohnson#WeddingIndustry message to the @G7 is levelling only comes on your terms & mostly male sectors. You talk about investment in girls/women but you're decimating sector that brings £14.7 Billion to economy & is 80% women. Levelling up needs equality #whataboutweddings
From our survey…
150,000+ workers could lose their jobs in 3 months if the wedding sector doesn’t fully reopen on 21st June. Just let that figure sink in…
150,000 livelihoods destroyed because of ‘just a few weeks’.
We have to ask #whataboutweddings
From our survey…
Couples and businesses alike believe weddings have not been treated in the same way as other similar industries. We have consistently been at the back of the queue throughout and the treatment of the sector has been clear for all to see.
#whataboutweddings
And therefore another reminder that 400,000 workers desperately need our sector to fully reopen on 21st June. Restrictions simply do not allow for viable trade and every single individual who works on weddings is suffering right now.
