We successfully concluded the 4th and final session of our "Mastering Blockchain Technology & Building on @Cardano" workshop series at the University of Ruhuna. This final session focused on introducing students to building real-world blockchain applications using tools such as @meshsdk and @aiken_eng decentralized governance, and the Cardano Academy certification program.

This marked the completion of a month-long educational journey, where over 168 students from the Faculty of Engineering actively participated and engaged in hands-on learning experiences across all four workshops. As a culmination, a Certificate of Participation was awarded to all completing students in a special ceremony.

We extend our special thanks to the IEEE Student Branch and the Computer Society of the University of Ruhuna for their collaboration, as well as to Dr. Kushan Sudheera, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, for his continuous support in making this initiative a success.

This workshop series was hosted by the @Coin_Ceylon x @IntersectMBO #SriLanka Hub as part of our mission to expand blockchain education and Cardano ecosystem awareness in Sri Lanka’s academic institutions.

In the third session of our 4-part workshop series held last week, the students at the University of Ruhuna explored #Cardano's consensus model, transaction lifecycle, on-chain vs off-chain logic, and dove into smart contracts!
We also introduced key Cardano tools and projects like @NMKR_io, @jpgstoreNFT, @adahandle, @claymates and @blockfrost_io among others, giving students a hands-on look into real-world blockchain applications.
