Instead of strengthening the work already underway, the Parliamentary Secretary for Minority Affairs requested the Hon’ble Chief Minister to constitute a new committee on Christian Personal Laws and include her as a member.
This raises a serious question: Why create a parallel committee when the Provincial Minority Caucus had already constituted a dedicated sub-committee exclusively for Christian Personal Laws?
That sub-committee has already held four meetings, including a national conference in Punjab attended by parliamentarians from across Pakistan, legal experts, clergy and stakeholders to develop consensus-based reforms.

Our focus should be on completing the work already in progress not duplicating committees, delaying reforms or turning an important issue affecting the Christian community into a political exercise.
The Christian community deserves legislation, not bureaucracy.

A historic day at NJV Government Secondary High School.

Alongside Opposition Leader Ali Khurshidi and MPA Maaz Mehboob, I distributed Hindu religious textbooks to Hindu students of Grades 3–5.

For the first time since Pakistan’s creation, Hindu students are receiving curriculum-based religious textbooks—an important step towards implementing Articles 22, 25 & 36 of the Constitution.

Congratulations to every student, teacher, author and education official who made this possible. I also hope Christian students will soon receive their own curriculum-based religious textbooks.

Participated in a follow-up meeting organized by TDEA with fellow minority parliamentarians to discuss the challenges facing religious minorities in Sindh and explore practical policy solutions.

Joined by Dr. Sham Sunder Advani, Deputy Speaker Anthony Naveed, MPA Aneel Kumar Ratnani, and the TDEA team. I stressed the need for implementation, accountability, and stronger representation to ensure minority rights are protected.

How does a project that once reached 47.7% completion reportedly fall back to just 7%?
In the Sindh Assembly, I highlighted that around 40% of the cameras installed under the Security Surveillance Cameras at Minority Worship Places project were reportedly either stolen or became non-functional due to the absence of a maintenance system.
I questioned why Rs. 50 million transferred to the Minority Affairs Department for maintenance remained unutilized, why no maintenance contract was awarded, and why the 2026–27 budget again includes an additional Rs. 25 million for maintenance despite these unresolved issues.
Protecting minority worship places requires more than installing cameras. It requires regular maintenance, accountability, and responsible use of public funds.
Our places of worship deserve security that works—not projects that deteriorate because of neglect.

I strongly condemn the irresponsible remarks from @MoulanaOfficial against the Armed Forces of Pakistan. Our martyrs and veterans have made immense sacrifices for the security and sovereignty of our nation, and their honour must never be subjected to political point-scoring.

Political differences are part of democracy, but respect for our national institutions and our martyrs is non-negotiable. Pakistan's unity and national interest must always come first.

Honored to participate in the Provincial Consultative Session on Human Rights under the HumAhang for Rights initiative, organized by the Shaoor Foundation for Education & Awareness (SFEA) at the Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi.

I shared my perspective as an opposition parliamentarian on the responsibility of legislators to protect constitutional rights and stressed that minority rights are human rights. Strong laws must be matched with effective implementation, accountability, and equal opportunities for every citizen.

A landmark moment for inclusive education in Sindh.

On Sunday, 28 June 2026, the first batch of Hindu religious textbooks for Classes III–V was officially launched at the Sindh Assembly by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Dr. Sham Sundar, and MPA Mahesh Kumar Hasija.

This milestone marks the implementation of Article 22(1) of the Constitution, ensuring that Hindu students in Sindh’s public schools have access to religious education based on their own faith.

This achievement reflects years of advocacy, consultations, and sustained engagement with the Education Department and all stakeholders. As this initiative moves forward, the focus must now be on the timely distribution of these textbooks to schools and the appointment of qualified teachers so that every Hindu student can benefit.

The Sindh Budget FY2026–27 must be judged by what changes in people’s lives—not by headline allocations.

I raised concerns over corruption in Minority Affairs, delayed worship-place security cameras, the unresolved Rs50m maintenance allocation, weak plastic and sheesha-ban enforcement, the unfair 7% salary increase, Priya’s disappearance and SPD-01 waiting candidates.

Sindh needs transparency, fairness and accountability—not more unfinished promises.
