SONIC LABS ANNOUNCES LAYER-1 BLOCKCHAIN LAUNCH IS IMMINENT AFTER ACHIEVING GENESIS BLOCK
- @0xSonicLabs formerly called Fantom, is set to launch its Sonic Layer-1 blockchain after successfully completing its Genesis Block yesterday.
Key Highlights:
- The EVM-Compatible Sonic blockchain is described as the successor to the Fantom Opera network. The protocol plans to correct Fantom's flaws and enhance performance and user incentives with the new blockchain.
- Ahead of the imminent launch, the platform has been making some early moves to ensure maximum performance is achieved;
- Most recently, Sonic launched Blaze, the testnet 2.0, with improved infrastructure for users to deploy contracts and experience its incredible speed.
- During the testnet trials, the network recorded transction finality in just 720 milliseconds, making it one of the fastest EVM-compatible chains, challenging the likes of Solana and Base.
- Meanwhile, Sonic also recently announced its upcoming S token airdrop, urging users to join its movement and participate in the testnet.

@EggOfYourDemise@CarovanStudios@pot8um I have both been involved in resuscitation attempts and discussions with families and patients about it and I’m more than happy to discuss in DMs why I think a lot of people shouldn’t have it attempted and actually when explained to patients and family well they often agree
@EggOfYourDemise@CarovanStudios@pot8um I’ll have to disagree about having a right to be angry about the decision (without knowing the full details and only what the comment vaguely outlined as the clinical picture). However, I absolutely agree where able the family should be consulted.
@EggOfYourDemise@CarovanStudios@pot8um Without knowing the details if someone just told me someone had such a significant stroke they were “paralysed” I’d not be the most keen to attempt resuscitation so the decision might have been entirely appropriate
