One of my papers has gotten accepted to the NeurIPS NeurReps Proceedings workshop! Kinda wasn't expecting it, I thought the paper was subpar compared to my current work but the reviews were quite positive.

My latest paper exploring the effects of positional encodings on the geometry of Vision Transformers (and the downstream effect of this geometry on robustness) is now available on arXiv, here's the link:

@Yorkslrehlker@FraserNelson@FreeportThinker Wait, is there really a statistic called "hospitalisation but it's for treatment that doesn't require admission per capita UK 2026"?? Can we see your sources on that?
@warptalon@IsDesBoot@Maximus762399@LeCheuf1959@Kittycel66 I don't want to waste effort in responding to your stupidity, but I just want you to know this is the dumbest response you could have ever conceived in this situation. I genuinely do not think there is a dumber way to respond.
@SupraVeritas@wizarddude0@Dixie62735@greendragonhq@Badger2084 Laws don't physically exist.
"Ownership" doesn't physically exist.
Languages don't physically exist.
Society would collapse if any of these were to disappear, and they are all social constructs.
Academics would not be able to "reach the stars" without social constructs.
@SupraVeritas@wizarddude0@Dixie62735@greendragonhq@Badger2084 The world doesn't revolve around physics, and I say this as a STEM major and researcher.
Social constructs are important. Just because they don't physically exist and can't be described with physics doesn't mean they're any less important.
Society doesn't function without them.
@kdnbmb@watayuki_334BM@bridgemindai You may have simply vastly overestimated these models, and now that you've gotten more experience with them, you know their real capabilities far better.
@coincidence_spy@Johngotit_@clusterbitch_ Yes, some North African countries manufacture their own helicopters. Tunisia for example. A Google search would've cleared this up.
@coincidence_spy@Johngotit_@clusterbitch_ You take the most extreme examples of the worst and poorest sides of Africa and use that to generalize it to all of Africa. Yes, of course rural poor communities in Africa experience horrible lives. Urban areas in North and South Africa are nowhere near as bad as you think.
@MisterApricot@jaynitx Do you think Africans, Arabs and Indians are incapable of being geniuses and providing something genuinely meaningful to humanity?
If so, do you have any evidence aside from your racist "it's just true bro" vibes?
