As a Forest fan, I have zero love for United. My two penneth is: their culture has been suffocated. First by the Glazers and further by Ratcliffe. United is being led by unlikeable, passionless, cynical and penny pinching characters. They set the tone and, like a waterfall, it flows down, through every channel and into every corner. They have sucked the life & soul out of that football club. It’s only their hardcore, longstanding fanbase keeping their identity alive and yet they are doing everything to get them gone with their draconian season ticket policies.
Welcome to Como, @ManUtd! 🔵
Founded in 1878, Manchester United are one of the most historic clubs in English football. Known as the Red Devils, the club have built a rich tradition across domestic and European competitions, with 20 English league titles, 13 FA Cups and three European Cups to their name.
Exc: Lisandro Martinez formally punished by Man Utd for remarks after defeat to Atletico Madrid. Argentina international fined. Martinez has public apologised following talks today. Long-term future at Utd in doubt. https://t.co/RXwjXUmUxU
Gary Neville, unsurprisingly, is missing the point on Lisandro Martinez. He's not attacking his teammates, but merely protecting them from a hierarchy that caused a 19-year-old CB to play left-back in a Champions League game.

⚡️Lisandro Martinez's Manchester United future in doubt: he doesn't want club to exercise the extra year (2028) option & club has serious reservations
➕Sanction likely to be addressed today

Multiple #MUFC players are in agreement with Lisandro Martinez's comments about the board yesterday. Questions have been asked internally about the lack of backing Michael Carrick got in the summer. Tensions rising. Full details ⬇️ W/ @UtdNadd@UtdDistrict https://t.co/OEwfNEEl95
Lisandro Martinez not the only player in #MUFC squad to feel more was needed from club board, including Jason Wilcox in summer.
Similar vibe to 2023 when Casemiro was upset at transfer business after third-place under Erik ten Hag, different regime ⬇️

EXC: As opposed to going rogue, Lisandro Martinez is one of several senior #MUFC players frustrated with the hierarchy as attention shifts to the future of sporting director Jason Wilcox. Martinez was waiting for the right moment to drop the 💣 https://t.co/IpJddi2IcT
Lisandro Martinez has broken the fourth wall tonight. He's exposed the PR and spin of the last few years by saying exactly what the fans think. The club won't be able to bury this. Certain people's positions are untenable.
Lisandro Martinez’s post-match interview easily the most extraordinary by a United player since Roy Keane said it was ‘the end of the road for this team’ at Bayern in 2001. Keane questioned whether teammates were good enough. Martinez has questioned the hierarchy. #mufc
Lisandro Martinez putting the pressure where it should ultimately be, on the ownership and hierarchy at Manchester United for their decision-making and the direction of the club.
He is correct in saying that the performances have been “a reflection” of the club itself and that accountability stretches well beyond who is in the dugout plus the players.
There can be no argument that the squad is lacking depth, quality, balance and the right profiles.
He also nails it in terms of cycling through managers, but not having any question marks over what’s happening upstairs.
United openly interviewed around Europe for Erik ten Hag’s successor, only to keep him and arm him with new coaches and circa £200m in players before sacking him and his staff for £10.4m.
They hired Ruben Amorim despite knowing the squad - which they allowed EtH to shape - was so ill-suited to his approach. They were very aware Amorim was unwavering on his philosophy and promised to persevere with both him and it.
Only to then try to dictate style, system and selections to him. They stuck with Michael Carrick only to sell him very short.
Let’s not forget the big, long play to the tune of £3m to get Dan Ashworth, before paying £4.1m to axe him after five months.
If the performances on the pitch are a mess, they speak to the state of play off the pitch.
"As a club, I expect more... I’m not gonna close my mouth, we need to have more ambition.” 👀

🚨 Lisandro Martinez calls out Manchester United's recruitment following the loss to Atletico in an interview with Amazon.
"We had a fantastic season last season and now we expect more from the top."
Q: This is not a UCL-quality squad? Did you expect more investment in the summer?
"Yes, 100%.
"I expected more from our technical director...
"[Carrick] does his best... You can keep changing, changing, changing the manager, but what about other areas? I can't say more.
"It's easy to say the coach. It's easy to say the players, but we also have to 'see' others [who are to blame]."
