Wild Discussion in a London Pub tonight:

I just had a fascinating convo with two Brits in a London pub. Celebrating their retirement, we started chatting. Inevitability the convo moved to politics and Trump.

I stopped the convo at that point and said that I’d be happy to discuss Trump, politics, & whatever provided we could voice our opinions and not make it personal. They both assured me that they were too urbane for childish theatrics. Traveling as much as I do, I know better. So I reiterated my terms. I come from a different culture and a different worldview. I was happy to hear from them and learn from them, but they’d need to brace for what I would say. On that basis we proceeded.

They picked up with Trump. What did I think of him? I offered a thoughtful, honest assessment. Deeply offended that I did apologize for him — “Most Yanks do, Mate” — the affected moral outrage was palpable.

“I hate everything about him,” one said. “He’s corrupt.”

“For example?”

“Everything.”

“Give me one example.”

“His view that NATO should be dissolved.”

“That’s not corruption, you just don’t like it. But he’s right.”

“How?!”

“Why should we continue to protect you with our tax dollars? Defend yourselves.”

The convo moved to JD Vance: “If he was here I’d f—king cut his throat with a knife!” the one edging toward intoxication said.

Okay.

“What do you think of Starmer?” They asked.

“He seems dishonest and unpopular. Cares nothing for the British people. He also comes off as gay.”

This sent them into paroxysms of anger, one storming from the table. The other explained to me as if I was a child that you can’t say that in Britain because it’s offensive.

I explained — also as if speaking to a child — that I knew that and I meant it. That is, I didn’t mean Starmer was actually gay. I don’t know. I meant that he seemed like a weak and ineffectual male.

“That may be a difference in American males and British,” the reasonable one said. The other guy returned and said he had decided to overlook the remark because I was so nice. I told him that was good because no apology was forthcoming.

“You’re a cowboy,” he said.

He meant it as an insult, but I accepted the designation happily and said nothing.

The convo turned to Islam and Rotherham. “Oh, god, I’m glad my wife isn’t here,” the reasonable one said. I didn’t really know what he meant.

By now the thoroughly intoxicated one asked: “As an American, what do you think of Britain?”

“Do you really want my opinion?”

“Yeah, sure. We can handle it.”

“I think Americans have a warm feeling for Britain. Although a republic, most Americans loved Queen Elizabeth and respected her. We admired what you once stood for. But you’ve lost your way. You no longer know who you are. You’re being taken over from the inside by Muslims.”

“You think so?”

“I do. In, oh, 25 years you’ll be an Islamic state.”

“So what if we are? What would be different?” The drunk one asked.

“Well, your women will be all be wearing hijabs. They won’t be allowed to drive or vote. There will be child brides and your British white girls will be hunted by r*pe gangs — of course, that’s happening here already…”

“…he has a point.”

“…and your culture will be utterly gone.”

“F—k you! I hate America!” The drunk one exclaimed. “You can f—k off back to America!” He repeated as if I’d not heard him the first several times. (Truthfully, I wasn’t offended. He was more amusing than offensive, so I ignored him.)

The other one, trying to summarize our time together, said: “I knew something was off when you didn’t apologize for Trump.” The sentence was spoken with an air of moral superiority.

“Not gonna happen.” I said.

“I’m so glad my wife wasn’t here!” He said again.

“Because she’d hate my opinions?”

“No! She’d agree and want to leave us and take you to another pub!”

We parted with handshakes and the drunk one repeating his hatred for America. This is a perfect glimpse of where Britain is.

Overall, I enjoyed myself greatly.

South Wales Police are enforcing their own Islamic blasphemy law, 18 years after Parliament voted to abolish such laws.

The Free Speech Union has long warned that the Government’s official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hatred” — would silence legitimate criticism of Islam and encourage public bodies to go further.

South Wales Police have now instructed officers to record comments they deem to go beyond “legitimate” discussion of Islam. These will be logged as anti-social behaviour incidents and could be disclosed on an enhanced DBS check, potentially preventing people from getting a job.

The Free Speech Union has written to South Wales Police demanding that this guidance be withdrawn. If they fail to do so, we have warned that we will seek a judicial review.

As Shadow Equalities Minister @ClaireCoutinho wrote to the Chief Constable: “At a time of widespread concern about two-tier policing, your force is creating a separate and more restrictive category of speech that applies only in the context of one religion. This is not equal treatment under the law.”

Ok, an update I have received regarding this veteran that these officers so violently assaulted. It is reported that this veteran is a decorated parachute regiment soldier with very severe complex PTSD. It is further reported that he has a lot of pins in his ankle. That level of force could have paralysed him or potentially been lethal. It is further reported that this veteran has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at the Crown Court in Southampton at 1000 hrs on Monday.

Apparently, 2-tier Britain is a faculty of our imagination, according to the left.

The veteran community is outraged at what is happening to our country; this could go badly wrong with the amount of provocation that is being inflicted on us. Upset the veteran community at your peril.
