Waterville Mayor Nick Isgro has been added to Bend the Arc: Jewish Action anti-Semitism tracker. The @mainegop Vice-Chair has incited hatred against Jews, Muslims, immigrants, and the LGBTQ citizens of Maine many times. Does any Maine R care? #mepolitics

Reminder that this woman wholeheartedly stood by her white supremacist vice-chair at @mainegop.
She even appeared with him on a radio show and laughed as he defended belonging to FB groups calling for the murder of Muslims and Holocaust denial. #mepolitics
Quite a rogue’s gallery of anti-LGBTQ bigots & conspiracy nuts Rep. Tracy Quint (R-Hodgdon) has hitched her wagon to. Let’s do a little run-down shall we? #mepolitics
This tweet and the pride colors are great and all, but you are currently employing one of Maine's most prominent white nationalists. https://t.co/ejoshJPGAB

@realMGHein@CCLMaine@MaineDems @BadMainers @hmpouliot Julian Payne loudly supported Nick Isgro despite his ties to Neo-Nazi groups. Isgro belonged to FB groups that praised the Christchurch shooter and the Holocaust and posted Nazi slogans to his page. If @hmpouliot is doing events with him, she's tying @DowntownAugME to ugly racism
Beacon for Sovereignty, a covid denial group whose members have a history of anti-semitism and threats of violence is promoting an event with @naomirwolf in Augusta this week. The group is so extreme that it's members quote Hitler at length.
@DirigoBlue@mainegop Maine Republicans have fully embraced white supremacists and conspiracy theorists. They don't care about division or hate crimes or being decent. They don't care about the future of Maine. They are clutching on to greed and to a past that will never exist again.
@DirigoBlue@mainegop She knew how deeply Isgro was tied to violent Neo-Nazi groups and continued to support him. She knew he encouraged people to join a FB group that praised the NZ Mosque shooting and she laughed about it. @mainegop ran QAnon candidates. Her comments this week did not surprise me.
@joe_turcotte @DKouzounas @GOP She's either a coward who wouldn't stand up to her white supremacist Vice-Chair or she agreed with him. The opposite of a good leader. Joe, if you knew the behind the scenes of how Isgro talked about you to others who didn't defend you, you'd leave @mainegop
Demi Kouzounas knew that her Vice-Chair had ties to Neo-Nazi groups and did nothing. She laughed about him belonging to a group that praised the Christchurch shooting. She got a promotion from the GOP.
@ScottDMonroe The Waterville Republican Committee post was not a screenshot. It was text. A google search (tried different phrases from throughout) easily clears up where it came from. An image search for the photo comes back empty. #mepolitics@AmyCalder17
I hope I see a day in Maine's future where hate is no longer tolerated. In politics or from our neighbors. White supremacy is an ugly and unacceptable system. Let's do our best to keep each other safe by calling it wrong every time we see it.

I wanted to clarify something in the Mainer story that I have been thinking about since I read it. In the section about the post from WTVLRC being tweeted, anti-fascist activists were mentioned. While I am (of course) anti-fascism, my activism isn't about that to me. 1/
He amped his followers to do battle against immigrants and those who help them. He targeted young men to groom into white supremacists. He built a following in the darkest most dangerous corners of the Neo-Nazi movement.
I'm glad he's leaving politics. 5/
@realMGHein@MainerNewsCoop@AmyCalder17 @OnlineSentinel @ScottDMonroe Amy is a kind and caring person. I may get frustrated with some of her coverage, but I know she cares about the community. Isgro is a convincing liar. His kids are cute. He's polite. She wouldn't be the first person he duped into thinking he's harmless.
Thank you to @MainerNewsCoop for reporting honestly on Nick Isgro. It was an outrage that others ignored how extreme Isgro's online activities are. @AmyCalder17 doesn't even mention his ties to Holocaust denial and Neo-Nazi groups in her article!?! #mepolitics
A day after we published an article showing Nick Isgro arm-in-arm with a pro-Nazi GOP leader, he announces his retirement from politics. https://t.co/f99Mixe9il
