@RebeccaJEmm@jacindaardern Yes, it's toxic for women, Maori and others who challenge the white patrirachy by the mere fact of thier existence. Serious change needed.
@RestIsPolitics Actually Tuvalu and Vanuatu are over 1500ks apart. Btw if you decide to include Tuvalu in your podcast as you keep promising, if you continue to pronounce it as badly as you do, then noone will know.
@PitaRaymon @sgowsmith1988 @MorganGodfery Well it's happened today in Welly local body. 2 progressive green endorsed wahine at the top. Feels great! #proudwellingtonian
@superleeni Could it be the changes when the polytechs became universities..eg AUT became a university in 1990. Maybe as a way of establishing the new status. Also start of bulk funding 'bums on seats' policy?
@superleeni Vic in 1970s def varsity and again in 1997-8 still varsity but my children all went to uni in the 2000s at Massey, Vic and Otago. No varsity in sight anywhere by then. Interesting - and such variation!
@AotearoaJ Fascinating history & perspective. I had no idea that the review findings were never shared. All I can say is that the richness & learning from the noho marae experiences from my student days in the late 90s on the Vic programme stay with me to this day. I'm immensely grateful.
@SWConcern@AotearoaJ We in Aotearoa NZ love these values too. I wonder if we are the only post colonial country that has a code of ethics based on indigenous values?
