Verstappen says more people are starting to see the problems with F1's 2026 regulations
"I’ve been speaking out about these regulations for a very long time. In the beginning, most people said: ‘Oh, he’s just complaining. He should keep his mouth shut.’ But I have to say that in the last few races, more and more people are seeing the same thing that I saw coming a long time ago.
"It’s not about me not winning anymore. It’s simply because I care about the product. I’ve said it many times already, and at a certain point that’s enough, right? But of course people keep asking about it, and maybe it’s not always appreciated.
"But I just say what I think, because you see certain things coming. Then people sometimes say: ‘Ah, but this was a great race.’ Then I say: ‘Yes, but the way we are racing is not really realistic.’ And then you end up at certain circuits where you’re driving with not a lot of horsepower by F1 standards.
"That’s a bit painful, something I’ve seen coming for years. Of course it’s not the most exciting then. But at a certain point I’m also getting a bit tired of repeating myself, because it’s already difficult enough just having to drive with it."

Max Verstappen said the Stowe exit was "like Austria, but different fault that's ended up in the same outcome.
Again, while turning into the corner, the rear wing is not fully attaching. And you lose a lot of downforce for that. Just spin off the track."
"Well, at that point it's super dangerous, because you can really hurt yourself, two times! I was lucky in Austria, I was lucky here, but that's why you get really fed up with it."
"Even if we would have finished on the podium, you take it, but it's not deserved at all."
"On the hard tyres we were really slow. I don't know how I kept George [Russell] and Lewis [Hamilton] behind for so long. The whole weekend I had a terrible balance, no top speed compared to the other car [Isack Hadjar's] as well in the garage.
And then the race was exactly the same, which I already predicted."
Verstappen said Red Bull went against his wish to start from the pitlane as "they were maybe confident to fix it - which I was not".
"I'm trying my best with everything. That's the only thing I can do.
"It would take a very zen person to be optimistic at the moment, with what happened again this weekend. I'm sorry, but it's just like that. I need a few days to reset and try again.
"At the moment too many things go wrong. It's as simple as that. Not even speaking about pace."
On whether his Silverstone experience impacted his future with Red Bull, he insisted: "Ah, I'm not going to say anything about that. It's not fair to say anything about that also right now."

Very unfortunate and frustrating ending, but these things can happen.
I still really enjoyed the experience together with Jules, Luggi and Dani. Thanks to the team and everyone around the track for your support.

Arrieros…
Unbelievably proud 💪 We never gave up and kept pushing until the very end. Thank you @redbullracing, Honda and everyone for your support along the way!!!
@LandoNorris congratulations on your first championship. Well done mate 👏
max about getting under the mclaren drivers’ skin: “but i don't care about any of that. i don't look at others. if someone has me on their mind, that's their problem.”
[de telegraaf]
max: “we had made a choice with our set up, but they only allow us to race in conditions that are almost good for slicks.”
“that’s disappointing for everyone. then just say it's better to wait until it's completely dry. because this is not a rainrace.”
[nu]
max: “[i would’ve preferred to start] at three o'clock, right away. it wasn't even really raining. there was still some water between turn 1 to 5, but if you'd driven two or three laps behind the safety car it would have been a lot better.”
“i just think it's a shame for everyone. you’ll never really see those classic rain races again. i think it's still possible, though. [..] if you base your entire race on rainy conditions, it just ruins it a bit.”

🗣️ Max Verstappen: "This just ruins a nice, classic wet race. We either try to push for a proper wet race, or we just say: you know what? We stop racing in the wet, and wait for it to be dry.
