This Is How You Lose Her by Junot Díaz has some great stories. I read the short story Nilda. To summarize the chapter the writer lives at home w/ his brother & mother. His brother Rafa is dating a girl named Nilda. Her mom drinks & is not nice to Nilda. #SW503MUR
The writer still wanted to ask her out, but he never did. Years later Nilda was still the same as well with no change to how she was. Nilda did not achieve the goals she wanted to create better group homes for girls. She was stuck in the same spot. #SW503MUR
.@morningmika: "If you listen to The White House, if you listen to Fox, and if you listen over and over and over and over again – they are branding this as a full exoneration. It is not a full exoneration. It's not even close to an exoneration."

I'm running for president because a great nation is judged not by how many billionaires and nuclear weapons it has, but by how it treats the most vulnerable – the elderly, the children, our veterans, the sick and the poor.
Trump is declaring a national emergency to bypass Congress, to build a wall we don’t need, to address a crisis that doesn’t exist, by claiming an authority he doesn’t have.
If that sounds like nonsense, it’s because it is. It’s also plainly unconstitutional.
Come for me all you want, but my job is to make sure that people are protected in society.
Someone’s got to look out for the people our system is leaving behind - esp now, when most of the wealth created is going to fewer people, those left behind are the majority of Americans.
