Abel Ferrara's “King of New York” (1990) was made for $5.3 million, but still he needed all his low-budget wiles to secure certain key locations, most notably the Plaza Hotel, which was owned by Donald Trump at that time. According to Ferrara, Donald Trump, charged Francis Ford Coppola “$5,000 an hour” to film at the hotel.

Donald Trump's wife at that time, Ivana was a huge fan of Christopher Walken. So, they said if Walken could pose for some pictures with her, Ferrara could film the scenes for free. Ferrara later said, "She got some great pictures, and we got the Plaza".

C.H. Greenblatt has revealed that he and Maxwell Atoms pitched a scrapped Looney Tunes series titled ‘ACME: Monster Stompers Miami’ to Warner Bros.

The Men in Black- and Miami Vice-inspired action-comedy followed Daffy Duck and Porky Pig as monster-fighting ACME agents, with Witch Hazel serving as the main villain.
