Maker Space skills, glue guns and tools came in handy in our @corketss 1sr year science lesson today. Students designed models of @PracticalAction floating gardens and learned about the difficulty that farmers in Bangladesh and Ireland experience on flooded lands.

Fantastic creativity from a 5th year computer science today. A @Raspberry_Pi computer wasn't working. Instead of switching for another one, he researched the problem, fixed it and gave me a flow-chart for other students to follow. And it's only the 4th lesson of the year!

This @CorkETSS school #maker project, an interactive map of #Cork, started 3 years ago, goes from strength to strength. Started with recycled materials and @makeymakey to trigger sounds and voice-overs, it has now a laser cut map with 3D printed buildings. @pure_cork
