It’s worse than that.
This is person, not just vehicle level, persistence. The sensors capture Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID, tire-pressure monitors, key fobs, wearables, earbuds, and even pet microchips. AI then treats the recurring bundles of these signals as a durable signature. It’s like the stream I did where I talked about ways they can identify you even with a VPN because they can bundle other anonymous data points about how you move your mouse etc that together paints an identifiable picture.
Change plates, switch cars, walk past the pole or ride a bike, the same bundle can still identify you. The plate reader becomes optional at that point.
Silent, no hastle rollout on existing infrastructure. Agencies can enable the capability without new poles, fresh contracts, or fresh public votes. It’s just a new feature on the already normalized tech that everyone in government especially law enforcement wants.
Passive mass collection + relationship inference - remember the contact tracing they wouldn’t shut up about during covid? This does that. Everything that radiates nearby is logged and stored permanently. Recurring co-location tracks who regularly travels or spends time together, creating an inferred social graph without anyone ever knowing it. Collection happens silently 24/7 regardless.
This changes flock cameras from “where did this car go?” to “where did this unique device constellation go, who else was near it, and what pattern does that form?”
But somehow we can’t deport people. I wonder who this could be for…
@husafell_stone when i was practicing 7/8hrs a day my left hand and right elbow would really bad with this, especially adding in weight training. Stretching for real, relaxing while playing, and limiting bent wrist weight lifts helped. Sleeping with straight wrists as well
