If it is Sabbath wherever you are, pray for your compatriots who work at the Office of Auditor General.
The people who, every day, witness indescribable plunder in @WilliamsRuto's government of thieves, by thieves, and for thieves.
Let me give you an idea of what their day looks like.
Take a look at the first picture attached.
On that picture, the auditor observes an interesting thing. A certain department of the National Government tells the auditor that there was KSH 40 million in training expenses, out of which KSH 11 million was paid to one "training service provider".
Even more interesting is that, according to this department, there was no tender involved with the training, because this particular training COULD ONLY COME FROM THIS PARTICULAR FIRM.
Ok?
Therefore, there was no advertising, no negotiations, no market study to determine the "arm's length nature" of the training fee. It just had to be paid.
Now, the next thing the auditor sees, is what you see on the next picture.
A department that - last year reported only KSH 9.7 million in training expenses, in 2023-2024, under @WilliamsRuto and @CS_HonMbadi - reports a whopping KSH 195 million in training expenses.
KSH 9.7 million last year, and under the first full year of @WilliamsRuto as presidency, the expense goes up by 1,898%.
Yes. 1,898% increase in training expenses in the same department.
And there is, as the auditor says, no support for this increase. No rationale, no documentation explaining the need. Everything is "unsupported", and "irregular".
@WilliamsRuto 's government is known for many things. Abductions. Corruption. Kakistocracy. Clowns. Thieves. You name it.
We need to add two more words to that lexicon.
"Unsupported", and "Irregular".
These are by far the most common names in audit reports under this government.
