Already saw some posts trying to spin this cunningly headlined story as "Modi is selling India."
Before the misinformation is weaponized and the public programmed, we need to understand that Indian regulatory requirements mandate a 10% public shareholding for any listed company in India.
In LIC, Govt of India holds nearly 96.5% stake. So it has to let go of its 6.5% to the public which is what it is doing now as per regulatory requirements. Also, only for LIC this requirement timeline was relaxed.
Also, offer for sale deals routinely carry a discount (here ~10%) to attract investors and ensure success, especially for a large issue. The floor is market-linked. Also LIC issued a 1:1 bonus in May 2026.
So the story written as "India is trying to raise 3.3 billion by selling stake in LIC on discount" making it sound like govt is making money selling LIC for "cheap" is kind of worded to give a wrong impression.
But CNBC, Bloomberg, WSJ, Reuters all do this sort of misrepresentation. Because all their reporters seem to be recruited only if they are brown sepoys who have political issues with the govt, or Pakis, Wumaos, and Westerners who hate a stable India.
It’s incredible that Neeraj Chopra after spending 10 active years in Javelin is still winning medals.
Fitness & Age is catching up. But still his consistency of throwing 85+ is unmatched around the world. One guy might have a good day and get a Gold. But Neeraj stays there on the podium with his consistency. Greatest Indian athlete ever.
That girl in Mumbai who stood in front of the police van immediately started a 140 Rs subscription on Instagram after that, allegedly. I love this country. Protest hai ke time pass?
The protests that are coming soon to a street near you in Modi 3.0 in the coming months:
1) NEET related protests
2) IMA doctors protests
3) Farmer protests
4) Muslim led protests (for Palestine but soon against Adani and Modi using fake news)
5) Khalistani related protests mostly outside India
More are planned for later for the next years.

Shocking claim !!
A telgu influencer has claimed he has recieved an offer of ₹50,000 for just one video supporting Sonam Wangchuk.
They are even sending paid requests to right-wing handles!
Question is where is all this money coming from to push support for the narrative?
Alexander Zverev deserves Respect !!
He was diagnosed with diabetes at just 4. He spent his entire life on Insulin...he takes Insulin shots every day..
Today, He is a Slam Champion and is Wimbledon Finalist. Huge Inspiration for kids with Diabetes 👏
Nasser is back with the "this could have gone for six in Indian grounds" line. One tiny sign of England promise and the hype train leaves the station, usually with a side quest of playing down the opponent. India have dominated in Australia and South Africa over the last three years too, and obviously in England as well.
Still no humility after being on the receiving end of the Bazball scam. We remember the hype, the lectures, the nonsense, and the generational humbling that followed.
Maybe India aren't as good as their WC record, but isn't that like the one thing that matters the most in T20Is? When India weren't winning WCs but sweeping up bilaterals, the criticism was the other way around. So the only way to not be criticised is to win every single game?
