สรุปสั้นๆว่า

สาเหตุหลักคือ ตลาดไม่พอใจที่ Fed ประกาศว่าจะลดดอกเบี้ยเพียง 2 ครั้งในปี 2025 แทนที่จะเป็น 3 ครั้ง นอกจากนี้ ยังขาดความชัดเจนว่าทำไมต้องลดดอกเบี้ยตอนนี้ ทั้งที่ เงินเฟ้อยังเพิ่มขึ้น ตามตัวเลข CPI และ PPI

นักข่าวหลายคนถาม Powell ถึงเรื่องนี้ แต่คำตอบของเขาคือ ตลาดแรงงานอ่อนแอ ซึ่งไม่เพียงพอที่จะทำให้ตลาดยอมรับการลดดอกเบี้ยได้ และนี่อาจเป็นสาเหตุที่ทำให้ตลาดไม่พอใจ

My thoughts: not a surprise move if you have been paying attention to macro environments, economics, and government views. Much like USD, the Yen is bound to weaken more over time. However, PM Kishida has a solution: Web3 and #crypto adoption as an economic spark.

The digital society goal utilizing home grown Web3 startups such as #jasmy are the basis for building innovation while hedging against currency devaluation. I believe this move by BOJ is potentially the beginning of the end of YCC in Japan and an affirmation to PM Kishida’s goals. Capped supply/21 million #bitcoin > money printers. $Jasmy
