JOB REQUIREMENT PARADOX:

The more platforms like #MicrosoftFabric are created and touted to be intuitively easy to use, the more companies require proof in advance that we know how to use them. 🤔

@ehansalytics That’ll get you to school on time!

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@PalantirTech Woo-hoo! Keep'em coming...

@CTOAdvisor @nvidia The first AI insight will be that he’s a digital hoarder.

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@UpSkillYourLife Did he write “I am responsible” from right to left?

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@SQLGene Yeah, copilot is a purple smoke machine too.

I tried to submit it as evidence to my wife, but she said it was hallucinating.😉

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@GFritchey I had copilot create an image for me. Then “she” told me there’s a 1 image per conversation limit, and I’d have to upload the image to a new conversation for corrections. After uploading, she said she couldn’t help me due to copyright violations.😏

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@GFritchey What’s important is to remember that it’s always happy hour somewhere in the world.

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@BuckWoodyMSFT I’m positive it’s going to be a bad week. 😏

This morning I woke up feeling like I was on top of the world, but as the day transpired I realized I was at the south pole not the north.

Lots of speaker topics today demonstrating the wide range of seismic changes that happened this year.

I believe this year will come to be known as Y25, a quarter century after the nothing-burger Y2K.

Up at the crack of dawn with @SFSSUG to start SQL Saturday South Florida 2025

Where virgins of knowledge come to learn the naked truth about what #Microsoft has invented, or simply deprecated as on-premises and rebranded as cloud, while they slept.

@BuckWoodyMSFT Ditto

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@GFritchey I’m sure there’s business that requires your personal attention in Miami. It’ll be 80 here today.

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@BuckWoodyMSFT Interesting.

I just bought some this week for the first time to try making my own awesome dipping cheese. We’ll see how it goes…

Help us give back to a great cause with our free event next week. The beneficiary is Potters House, a non-profit organization in Guatemala. They seek a solution to manage student data, track progress, and communicate with donors. #PragmaticWorks

@BuckWoodyMSFT Cool!

[John Marsh @ManFromDavie]

@BuckWoodyMSFT My cousin’s son, now that I think of it. But I can’t say I really know him either.

[Andrew Ng @AndrewYNg]

We just released the final two courses of AI Python for Beginners! The complete set of four courses is now available and remains free for a limited time.

They teach how to write code (a) Using AI-assistance, which is where the field is going, and (b) to take advantage of generative AI, which allows you to quickly do valuable things with code.

If you're considering learning to code, AI has made this a great time to jump in. Or if you know someone who is considering learning, please recommend these courses!
