@06twar@Its_FeIix_@Dexerto Pokemon diehards are in a cult. I've played all the mainline Pokemon games since red and blue, but the latest in the series are beyond lazy. Palworld is fun for different reasons, but is willing to actually do something different. Pokopia is their only good game lately.
Nobody in power is afraid of your awareness.
They have made peace with your awareness.
They have planned for your awareness.
You can know about the coup.
The Wikipedia article exists.
The documentary is on a streaming service.
The book won an award.
The journalist who exposed it gave a TED talk.
None of that costs them anything.
What costs them something is organized, sustained, material opposition.
Strikes.
Boycotts.
Political parties that mean it.
The willingness to be uncomfortable for longer than a news cycle.
They are not afraid of the people who know.
They are afraid of the people who know and decide that knowing is not enough.
You have given them very little to be afraid of.
You have given them an enormous amount of awareness and almost no consequences.
They consider this a favorable arrangement.
They are correct.
@DavidWolfe All my coworkers want to talk about is the latest TV show they are watching or some celebrity drama... I'm going insane, people have become zombies.
Watching people around me celebrate the state killing their own unarmed neighbor in front of his child is reminding me that we've been in a cold civil war for a while now
@Max_Sarcasium1@MaineDems Corpo-crats. Communism is that word you've been programmed to be afraid of. Everything bad is communism, when your CURRENT shit reality is being deployed in a capitalist system.
@ChickadeInc This generation will kill themselves trying to "looks-max" on Black market peptides and loosely legal meth but can't imagine smoking a joint. We grew up being cringe and having fun without having to worry about everyone trying to cancel us. They are boomers 2.0
@TheMaineWire I love how nobody live in a shared reality anymore and just can go online and spread psychosis to the masses. Real great society we've got here.
Hey @TroyJackson207 I find it comical that you turn your back on "your friend" Graham Platner jumping to judgement without proper due diligence--literally jumping at the chance to take his spot after your failed run at ME Governor.
And you expect us to hand you the torch?
@theGhostOfRiel@nirav_maine He is going to get A LOT of write in votes. Everyone I know who planned to vote for him still does, regardless of what establishment Dems say.
@shennabellows See the problem with that is that the people of Maine want nothing to do with you... So I'm not sure how you plan on out working the sitting senator when you actively just rat fucked our one chance at beating her out of the primary he won. Fuck you!
@nirav_maine Eat shit you centrist clown, we already said we want nothing to do with your campaign. You can't anoint yourself the chosen one, didn't work for Kamala and it won't work for any of you.
They supported Andrew Cuomo just a few months ago. They defended Biden against sexual assault allegations until he was no longer politically useful. They don’t care about women they care about protecting allies and weaponizing accusations against political opponents. They act in bad faith, and their primary objective is to undermine any momentum on the left that challenges the political establishment.
