Here’s something even more upsetting. Once released many who are still here never got a removal order. Of the FY2022 Title 8 border cases, a large share were later dismissed, terminated, or admin closed.
FY2022 alone: ~101k IJ dismissals + ~58k failure-to-prosecute + ~27k admin closures. Many never received a final removal order.
TRAC/EOIR.
In 2022 at Eagle Pass, TX, Border Patrol was releasing hundreds of migrants per day into the U.S.
Local reports put typical releases at Mission: Border Hope at ~500/day, with peaks up to 1,000. Area encounters often hit 1,500–1,700+/day during peak months. Del Rio Sector (which includes Eagle Pass) recorded ~481,000 encounters in FY2022.
Sources: AP, CBP sector data, Border Report.
There was a literal flood of illegal immigrants that just Eagle Pass TX Sector in 2022 alone was catching and releasing into US at a rate of 750-1,000 aliens a day and we are catching them one alien at a time with a six-man team using a spear 🎣 instead of casting a wide net. This looks and feels more like the Afghanistan withdrawal.
As Toby Keith sang in Beer 🍺 For My Horses
That justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys, you got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon
We'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing
Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

HONOR FIRST - never Personal Career Agenda First!
I once saw a meme that said “Name one Partner you’d trust to go into the roughest beat with”.
The “gatekeepers” are behaving more like a fair-weathered bureaucrat. What is a fair-weather politician? It’s an opportunistic or unprincipled politician who:
• Supports a party, leader, position, or cause only when conditions are favorable (high popularity, the party is in power, polls look good, or there’s personal advantage).
• Switches sides, distances themselves, stays silent, or abandons allies when things get tough, unpopular, or risky.
• Lacks consistent loyalty or principles and “goes with the wind” of public opinion or power.
It’s the political version of a fair-weather friend—someone who’s only around in good times and disappears in bad weather. The term is almost always used pejoratively.
@Sola_Scriptora@GregoryKBovino I’ve heard of an AUSA that said simple assault of an LEO is a normal (expected) job hazard. Short of a serious injury to an agent the case would never be prosecuted. It should never be accepted, not on a judge and not on an agent. Period.

Reagan handled People’s Park like you would have handled Lochiel. We need more resolved leaders like Patton, Reagan,Noem and Bovino and less bureaucrats that act like fair wind politicians.
In spring 1969, activists occupied a vacant University of California lot in Berkeley and turned it into “People’s Park.” When the university moved to build on the land, protests escalated. On May 15 (Bloody Thursday), police and later National Guard were sent in. Violence followed: injuries, tear gas, and the death of bystander James Rector. Reagan defended the law-and-order response and criticized the idea of negotiating with people who had threatened to destroy university property.
“Those people told you for days in advance that if the university sought to go ahead with that construction they were going to physically destroy the university. Negotiate? What is to negotiate? … All of it began the first time some of you who know better and are old enough to know better let young people think that they had the right to choose the laws they would obey as long as they were doing it in the name of social protest.” — Governor Ronald Reagan, 1969 press conference on the Berkeley People’s Park protests.

American IT workers and STEM grads got treated like the blue-collar guys watching scabs take their jobs. H-1Bs functioned like scabs. In labor history, scabs are replacement workers who cross picket lines or fill positions vacated by strikers so companies can avoid dealing with the existing workforce’s demands on wages and conditions. It pisses off the workers who held or were seeking those jobs because it undercuts their leverage. Same thing happened in tech: firms brought in a more compliant, visa-tied H-1B workforce that was less free to push back.
Companies and their foreign-born recruiters often preferred their own networks and posted “H-1B only” roles, screening out or displacing Americans.
This denied U.S. STEM graduates and applicants equal opportunity and has been challenged as national origin discrimination in EEOC cases and court findings. The incentive was a cheaper, more desperate/docile labor pool motivated by green cards, fear of losing status or extensions, and spousal work visas—people less likely to organize or walk away. Americans who trained for those roles watched them get filled by a parallel system designed to sidestep dealing with domestic workers.
I have personally been through Microsoft Redmond HQ campus recently and it is predominantly Indian. It was like a “Caste Campus” and not representative of American society overall. Such a shame as those are great paying jobs.
I view this more like the frustration, even anger, union members have when their jobs are taken by “scabs”. The scabs are docile and desperate to make a quick buck but at the expense of the other guy.
@TheBrancaShow Why not but that loss in business will trickle down to employees and lead to the premature termination of your colleague Indian workers still at META that owns those social media platforms. Go ahead and punish META since they weren’t doing Americans any favors.
