I proposed to SO and others that we do this:
Keep the current car, but made with new parts from NASCAR specified companies.
The general concept of a NASCAR cup car is a mid 1960s Chevrolet Chevelle front clip and a mid 1960s pickup truck suspension in the rear. NASCAR teams spent decades refining this technology.
Keep all of the general concepts and theories. Similar mounting points and such, all parts made by a Nascar mandated manufacturer or two or three. Trailing arms, upper and lower control arms, spindles. You name it. Have designated companies produce it all.
We could phase these parts in over the next 5 years and continue to race into the future a car we all have an extremely deep connection to.
The truck series could use these same parts. They could trickle down to ARCA, Late Model Stock. There is enough racing going on between all levels of "stock car racing" that this could be lucrative to the specified manufacturers of said parts. It would be cost affective toward teams. It would create a pipeline of parts trickling down toward the grassroots levels of racing as they too are concerned over current parts and current and future scarcity.
This is doable and maintains a key identifiable element to our industry.
My fear is that the industry needs to create a trickle down model for the current Cup Next Gen car. Hubs, front and rear suspension, drivetrain. All these mileaged parts used to have a place to go and compete until the Next Gen was introduced. So there may be some who feel it's common sense for the other 2 national series to adopt literal framework to utilize these pieces. No doubt Cup teams would like to have a marketplace for these parts.
Time will tell but I have a feeling it'll be really challenging to convince the league to keep the O'Reilly vehicle on its current architecture long term.
Holy shit it appears there may be a coverup happening in real time involving FanDuel and Rob Gronkowksi.
The account CodyBrownBets has been called out for being a corporate account pretending to be a person based on patents. The government links to these patents are now being used in community notes on Codyโs posts to provide evidence heโs not a real person (or is and sold his account to be controlled by someone else).
The Cody account denied the allegations last night and then once the post was hit with community notes last night containing the patents, the post was deleted [An attempt to kill the community note?]
This is a problem for FanDuel because it collaborates with CodyBrownBets all the time. There are allegations that FanDuel, or its close partners, control the account in order to artificially engineer bets from the public on certain teams to balance its books.
Rob Gronkowki collaborated with CodyBrownBets and some of the evidence of that has been deleted too - attached is evidence that still exists (for now).
Itโs certainly possible Gronk and FD have done nothing wrong, but itโs time for them to answer questions about their knowledge and relationship with the CodyBrownBets account. Also if Cody is a real human, now would be a good time to finally show his face.
Letโs hope a former NFL player isnโt knowingly helping FD deceive millions of fans.
.@OfficialWRC confirms next summer's Rally U.S. event will be held across more than 15 counties in Tennessee and Kentucky from the Appalachian Mountains to the Cumberland Plateau, with Knoxville the host city.
โก๏ธ There will be a ceremonial start on Lower Broadway in Nashville.
Don't listen to all these troll accounts hating on the fact everyone including fellow drivers are asking for or voting for Kyle Busch to win MPD. Everyone of em I've seen are either baiting or engagement farming. When Elliott, Larson and Hocevar are literally asking their fans to vote for number 8. That tells u where the sport's emotions lie.
Dale Earnhardt, Jr. achieves his first win at Talladega Superspeedway as he clinches the EA Sports 500 in the No. 8 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
Tony Stewart finished second and Jeff Burton finished third.
@TigerMcBride@GamecockAP@MMw653106 My argument right there. Itโs more natural drama and creates better TV. Like Iโm genuinely excited to watch Ole Miss vs Texas this week because or it. It adds more flavor to a great matchup
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.
