Lisandro Martinez build him a statue. Finally a serving player calling out the board and owners. Rest of the dressing room should stand with him immediately
Re. ”20 years of theft and lies”
I don’t think mainstream journalists and media covering this team, like say a @henrywinter, understand the 👉 ”AND LIES” 👈 part.
This is not to criticize anyone, it is probably normal to not pay attention to it. It sounds like something fans throw in there, which they other side would argue that there is a lot of context too.
Just a few examples:
🔺Incorrect information about FFP situation: Since The Athletic broke the news that MUFC submits the accounts from Red Football Ltd and not the listed parent for FFP review, we know for a fact that MUFC never have had any real concerns with PSR/UEFA FFP rules (at least if we exclude COVID tainted 21/22 season).
Yet, we have numerous examples of managers sitting there at the podium reporting that the internal message he gets is that the club can’t do something due to FFP.
🔺Lies about paying fantasy wages: It is an indisputable fact that MUFC’s players wage bill has not been higher than 4th since 2017 and never higher than 3rd since 2013 — and most season it as been miles of the clubs that pays the highest wages. We just need to read public annual reports from all clubs available at the Companies House.
Yet — surely to make it seem like the owners are supporting the club more than they have — fans and media have been led to believe that MUFC have paid high wages.
🔺Constant BS about transfer activity: You can almost set the clock based on certain type of leaks from the club. Others know these strategies better than me — but start to talk about protests and the club will leak that it’s linked to a big signing. Etc etc etc. In reality, under the Glazers, we spent nothing if we qualified for the CL and spent when we missed it...
At a specific point of time, this might sound like normal PR strategies in complex situations. But year in and year out for 20 years shows you something else. It shows a truly disgusting behavior.
"Jim Ratcliffe told us he wanted to put the Manchester back in Man Utd. He's taking it out." 🗣️
Man Utd fans were out in full force to support The 1958's protest against the club's ownership 🔴
🚨 BREAKING:
The 1958 say thousands of Manchester United fans are being urged to turn up in huge numbers at the protest march before the Fulham game at Old Trafford on Sunday. They say organisers are promising a ‘few surprises’ to symbolise how the club is being badly mismanaged.
Fans will gather at two meeting points at the top of Sir Matt Busby Way/Chester Road and also outside hotel football at 1pm ahead of the game, which kicks off at 2pm.

🚨🚨🗣️ A spokesperson for The 1958:
“Recent results are down to Michael Carrick and the players and they have come in spite of our inept ownership, not because of it. This club continues to fumble from one calamity to the next. Fans should not be fooled by two good results. We have been here too many times before.
“Our protest has never been about performances on the pitch. Not now, and not once in the last 21 years. We are judging a dysfunctional ownership model that has repeatedly failed Manchester United.
“Jim Ratcliffe is a successful and wealthy businessman. But in a football sense, for many he comes across as a clueless clown, making one poor decision after another, with no cohesive plan.”

Heard two journalists in the last 24 hours saying expect a massive summer for United transfer wise! What a coincidence that this drops in a window where we've done nothing and protests are looming.
🚨🚨🌕| NEW: The 1958 Group expect more than 5,000–6,000 fans to join their protest ahead of Manchester United’s game against Fulham on 1 February.
“Sir Jim Ratcliffe chose to get into bed with the Glazers and, in our opinion, is helping to keep them in charge. Twenty-one years of mounting debt, mismanagement and financial greed is 21 years too long. Therefore, we are protesting not only against the Glazers, but now also against INEOS and Ratcliffe — a man once seen by many, including ourselves, as a possible saviour and a beacon of hope, but now revealed as complicit in the ongoing erosion of everything that makes our club what it is.”

Manchester United is BROKEN.
Massive debt crushing the club, ticket prices skyrocketing while fans get exploited, standards in freefall, and over a decade of pure mediocrity under the Glazers and now INEOS too.
This club wasn't built by billionaires - it was built by us, the fans. Now it's time to fight to take it back!
Join the massive march before Fulham on February 1st at Old Trafford.
