This is an unofficial fan account for the Manchester Super Giants (nee Originals) supporting all who represent the @manchestersg100 in @TheHundred @EmiratesOT.
@amandajadew Such a shame, was hoping to see you back at OT. My daughter is still fuming that we didn’t bid for you in the auction! 😀 It makes no sense you are sitting on the sidelines. Hope you enjoy your time on comms and if a replacement is needed 🤞
This is such a good idea. Two sides competing side by side, making an equal contribution to the overall table. After years of disappointing results, can the Super Giants challenge for the inaugural Hundred Helix title?
It has taken them a few attempts to get it right, but I think Welsh Fire could be genuinely competitive in this years men’s competition. That is a seriously good batting line up and Marco Jansen elevates the attack significantly. Will be interesting to see how close they can go.
@ManchesterSG100 It’s a tough ask against a much improved Spirit. However, both our sides look stronger and have more batting depth than in previous years. It will be fascinating to see how we line up and gel, with so many new players on show. If we can get off the mark, we will be well set.
@CFitzy7@Reduislam7 I know Sales is an all rounder, but the way he dropped down the order for Northants suggests to me that he is an accumulator rather than a shot maker. The Super Giants are likely to need someone who can clear the rope coming in at that spot. As Noor, Tongue and Baker is a tail.
So pleased the Super Giants were able to successfully retain Sonny Baker. His enthusiasm is infectious and I can’t think of a more fun bowler to watch. Paired with Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson, we surely have the most exciting domestic pace attack to watch in the competition.
@Reduislam7 Sales was excellent and looks an interesting option. I am intrigued by Atkinson, he did some good stuff for the Invincibles and can also add some hitting ability at number 8. Time will tell.
A fantastic blast finals day ends with a deserved victory for @NorthantsCCC. A great cameo from Liam Dawson almost got Hampshire over the line, but the Steelbacks fought for everything. Super Giants wildcard James Sales was very impressive in both games and may be one to watch.
There are a lot of “proper” cricket fans who have been desperate to write Jos Buttler off for far too long. He’s not finished, not even close. He’s the best white ball batter this country has produced and deserves better than the nonsense spoken by those who should know better.
@stuchastosh Some of the worst criticism of Buttler, comes from a section of Lancashire’s fan base. His lack of availability has been a frustration, but it has been entirely justifiable. They really don’t deserve him.
@WG_RumblePants This feels harsh. The local election results showed Labour needed change, but they had no obvious alternative. Burnham has done a good job in Manchester and many will have encouraged him to give it a go. It may not work, but when you consider the alternative, it is a small price.
@melissagstory@DutchBKate This is such a classy response. Every word is considered and speaks volumes of your values and standards. I often come onto this platform and leave angry and disappointed, having stumbled onto this exchange, I for once will leave with a little more hope and faith.
