If stokes does resign thatβs him done as a test cricketer as unfortunately he doesnβt warrant a place in the team due to his batting in the last couple of years.
@garethn@melissagstory There is no men and womenβs itβs one club.
The ECB funding to counties will cease to exist from the next tv deal. Broadcasters are buying internationals and the hundred. ECB will give a large proportion to the franchises and keep the rest to fund themselves not counties.
@garethn@melissagstory Everything is about profit. I know thatβs difficult to understand being a Yorkie with YCCC being in massive debt until January. But eventually the banks will pull the plug.
@garethn@melissagstory Derbyshire county cricket club make a profit and like all clubs are subsidised by the ECB, but that will become a lot less from the next tv deal.
@garethn@melissagstory My comment about ladies cricket and tier 2? Simple where is the money coming from to fund this? Nobody watches, no income.
I donβt get your comment about the menβs match. One team makes a profit so it does pay for itself.
