Kerala Express (12625/12626) must be given a halt at Mancherial(NSG-3).

Railway officials often repeat the same line:

“There is already a stop at a nearby station. Alternative trains are available. As per rules, a new halt cannot be provided.”
They also say these rules apply uniformly across India. In practice, they do not.

Look at the facts:

In Andhra Pradesh, this train already stops at 6 stations. Among them:
• Tirupati – Renigunta: about 10 km
• Gudur – Nellore: about 38–39 km
In Maharashtra:
• Balharshah – Chandrapur: about 14 km, and the train stops at both.
When the same halt is demanded at Mancherial, the reply is:
“Ramagundam already has a halt.”
The distance between Ramagundam and Mancherial is also about 14 km.
Same distance.
Same train.
Same national policy.
Yet in one place, a junction, district headquarters or pilgrimage town is treated as sufficient reason for a stop. In another place, the same reasons are used to reject the demand.

Mancherial is not a minor wayside station. It is a district headquarters and 8th biggest city(M.corp) in Telangana. Several important trains already stop here. Still, this major Superfast train to Kerala has no halt.

If Railway rules are truly applied equally, then just as stops were given at Tirupati–Renigunta and Balharshah–Chandrapur, Mancherial too should get at least an experimental halt.
This is not a demand for special treatment.
It is a demand for the same standard and the same fairness.

Major trains do not halt at the Mancherial (MCI) station—located on the Kazipet-Ballarshah route within the Secunderabad Division—which records the highest passenger footfall after Warangal and Kazipet Khammam.

The people of the district are requesting that a halt be provided at Mancherial Railway Station for the Kerala, AP, and BGKT SF Express trains.

Mancherial is a district headquarters and an important NSG-3 category station on the GT route serving the major Singareni coal belt with significant passenger and freight movement.

Yet, these important trains pass through Mancherial without stopping:

🔹 20625/20626- Bhagat Ki Kothi–Chennai SF Express
🔹 20805/20806 - AP Express
🔹 12625/12626 - Kerala Express

1- 2 minute halt at Mancherial would greatly benefit students, pilgrims and the general public.
