Tomorrow marks two years since young Kenyans who stood up against political tyranny were killed for it. Many others were maimed. They are living scars of our brutal political system.
Two things must be clear as we commemorate June 25th: First, the right to peaceful assembly and to picket is constitutional. The government is duty-bound to respect and protect it. It should not unleash goons or interfere. Second, government officials must desist from threatening citizens who are organising to exercise their rights and remember their departed loved ones. Kenyans, killed in 2024 and 2025, deserve justice.
Accountability must be followed with appropriate compensation and permanent memorialization. Cobbling together sham compensation is not justice.
Kenyans must be allowed to exercise their democratic rights, and never again should we witness abductions or forced disappearances.
Enough.
Tuonane kesho!

Exactly two years ago, a generation rose. They were young Kenyans armed not with weapons but smartphones, the national flag, and the Constitution. They were the Gen-Zs pushing for better governance and accountability.

KTN News decided to bless Ruto with a very good piece of his consistency in telling “alternative facts” and “Six months” promises.
The Gallery of Ruto lies it is. Wapi salute na makofi.
David Maraga: I have never been associated with any corruption scandal. I am ready to declare on oath, my assets and give a full account of how I acquired each piece. I challenge every presidential aspirant, starting with Ruto, to do the same and account for everything they own.

On Thursday, Mr. Chris (Not his real Name) walked into Jambo Grill opposite Garden City to have a good time and catch up with a male friend while enjoying Prince Indah’s performance.
Shortly after, his friend left. Mr. Chris decided to stay behind and finish his drink. Two ladies then approached him and asked to join him at his table. Since the seats were empty, he welcomed them and they began chatting.
At around 4 a.m, Mr. Chris decided to leave the bar and head home to Kilimani, Nairobi. He left his drink on the table and went to the toilet. When he returned, the two ladies he had just befriended had already spiked his drink (“ile kitu kwa drink”).
Mr. Chris took a sip, and within minutes he was walking like a zombie, obeying every command given to him.
The three then got into an Uber, which Mr. Chris paid for using his phone. The destination was his apartment in Kilimani, Nairobi. The ladies were seen entering the premises with him and using the lift.
Once inside the house, Mr. Chris’s instincts told him something was wrong. He quickly locked himself inside his bedroom, leaving the ladies outside.
The two women eventually left around 1 p.m. the following day, taking some of Mr. Chris’s valuables with them:
- iPhone 15 Pro worth KSh 170,000
- Samsung S24 worth KSh 65,000
- Lenovo laptop worth KSh 60,000
- HP laptop worth KSh 100,000
- Expensive perfumes
- $500 in cash
- €500 in cash
- KSh 37,500 withdrawn from an NCBA bank account
After stealing the items, the ladies left the apartment carrying everything in a shopping bag and walked away casually as if nothing had happened.
Mr. Chris was left heavily drugged and unconscious. Thankfully, friends who kept calling and searching for him managed to locate him alive and rushed him to the hospital.
The matter has been reported at Kasarani Stadium Police Station.
Any credible leads that help locate these two women will be rewarded handsomely.
