I’m told by a source in Florida’s Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) that the following insurance carriers that do business in Florida are allegedly in very bad financial shape and are possibly on the brink of collapsing before the end of the year. This is being covered up and prevented from coming to light by the OIR via FL CFO @JimmyPatronis so that @RonDeSantis’s Presidential campaign isn’t further harmed by the ongoing insurance crisis in FL. Employees in the OIR have been told “you better keep quiet or else you will face the wrath of DeSantis.”

SCOOP: I am hearing that my story outing @SpeakerMcCarthy use of his large donor base to undermine President Trump, coupled with @RonDeSantis’s free fall in California priamry polls has Team McCarthy & @CAGOP chair Jessica Patterson @millanpatterson plotting major moves to help RDS in a potential brokered RNC convention.

Previously, Jessica Patterson had said that the CAGOP would not endorse a candidate for POTUS in the upcoming 2024 GOP primary.

@TeamDeSantis and his allies in California, including Jessica Patterson and Team McCarthy, believe that Ron once had a serious chance to win the CA primary on Super Tuesday and leap frog Trump in the delegate count. This was because just 6 months ago, CA polling from PPIC (a top CA polling firm) showed DeSantis leading Trump in the CA primary.

Now, with PPIC’s recent polling showing Trump breaking 50% and entering “winner-take-all” territory, there is growing chatter amongst delegates that the CAGOP is plotting to motion for an endorsement for @RonDeSantis in the race for POTUS at the upcoming convention this fall.

This is significant, not because a CAGOP endorsement for Ron DeSantis would propel him to victory over Trump in the primary, but that it would likely succeed at dragging Trump below 50% and ensure DeSantis earns at least some of CA’s 169 delegates.

@SpeakerMcCarthy is scrambling to screw Trump now that there is bad blood between the two of them after McCarthy went on CNBC this week and said he doesn’t think Donald Trump is the strongest candidate. McCarthy still hasn’t endorsed Trump for 2024 because he’s working with Jessica Patterson to help RDS win the nomination.

As it becomes even more apparent that RDS will not be able to defeat Trump outright in the primary, there’s much talk about the CAGOP staging a fight on the convention floor and a brokered convention, especially if Trump is convicted or appears likely to get convicted.

The RNC will then argue extraordinary circumstances require the delegates and the GOP to ignore conventional rules and allow delegates to abandon Trump “for the good of the Party.”

They will not succeed in getting all of Trump’s delegates to “unbind” themselves, which is why CAGOP officials know that it’s incredibly important DeSantis secure as many delegates as he can during the normal primary process. Trump breaking 50% in California and taking all of California’s 169 delegates would be a total back-breaker for their plan.
