Today, we unveiled a new Forestry-themed mural in the skywalk with Mayor Cownie and City Council members Josh Mandelbaum and Carl Voss to promote our efforts to grow our City's urban forest.

Really excited to be moving the improvements at MacRae Park forward. This park is the gateway to the southside along the SW 9th corridor, and it will be one of the best parks in our system when these improvements are completed.

Tonight the Des Moines City Council approved @DesMoinesParks' plans for Phase 3 of improvements to MacRae Park.
Plans include a complete walking path around the park, a boardwalk over the pond and a nature playscape with water features.
