@datoramanan, you described Zetrix as a "double-A company", compared it with MMC & UMW, dismissed misappropriation, accused @rafiziramli of sensationalising the matter & invoked your engineering credentials to offer him a lesson.

We shall address each point.

(1)-Your rating claim was outdated. MARC had already downgraded Zetrix’s RM2 billion sukuk programme from AA-IS to BB+IS, with MARCWatch Negative maintained. More fundamentally, a credit rating assesses credit risk. It does not certify that entrusted funds have been properly handled.

(2)-Your comparison with MMC & UMW proves nothing about Zetrix’s handling of JPJ collections. Each company must answer for its own conduct & financial controls.

Do you understand what corporate governance requires? Board oversight, effective controls, transparent reporting & accountability for money entrusted to the business. Calling something a governance issue does not rule out misappropriation. The evidence must establish what happened.

Zetrix acknowledged RM314 million in unremitted JPJ collections covering May to September. Its collection-agent role was suspended from 5 October, & police were reported to be investigating the failure to remit those collections.

Where were those collections held? Were they kept separately from operating funds? Were they used for any unauthorised purpose? Who approved the delayed remittances?

What evidence allows you to dismiss misappropriation before those questions have been publicly answered?

You accuse Rafizi of sensationalising the issue. Identify precisely which factual claim you dispute & publish the records that contradict it. Asking about govt revenue & public investment exposure is legitimate scrutiny. An attack on the questioner is no answer.
You also invoked engineering credentials while offering a lesson. Engineering expertise is no substitute for accounting expertise. Accountants are trained to interpret financial statements, scrutinise transactions & identify discrepancies. Before lecturing anyone on the accounts, explain what the financial records show.

Professional titles do not reconcile JPJ’s collections.

Rafizi’s reported estimate of up to RM472 million in potential losses for EPF, KWAP & Urusharta Jamaah remains conditional. Publish their actual holdings, purchase costs, disposals & realised or unrealised losses so the public can assess the claim properly.

The wider financial concerns also require answers. Zetrix withdrew its proposed interim dividend to preserve working capital & faced a potential sukuk covenant breach following changes in its founder’s shareholding. Neither development proves misappropriation- both warrant proper disclosure & scrutiny.

@anwaribrahim, ensure full disclosure of public funds’ exposure & the recovery of outstanding govt collections.

@anthonyloke & @JPJ_Malaysia, publish the latest outstanding balance, amounts recovered, repayment deadline & safeguards against recurrence.

@SecComMY, shareholders deserve complete & timely disclosures of material risks.

YB Ramanan, a governance failure is a reason to demand accountability. It is no basis for handing out a public clearance.

Produce the records before delivering the lecture.
