To be clear as an ECEC (Early Year) provider the only group representing my service at the table is @FederationEarly they are the only group who have consulted with members sending surveys, having group chats and meetings listening & hearing the voices on the ground @dcediy
@FederationEarly. All of our members will continue to say no to this chart of accounts. There must be a transitioning period. Training must be given We will not be shopping around for new accountants to do this work. We are happy with the accountants we have @isme_ie
@MurphyDunne@FederationEarly@rodericogorman @dcediy @isme_ie If the Department implement this latest strategy then it will signal the end for many small rural settings. Why is a certified set of accounts that are submitted and accepted by Revenue not enough. There does appear to be hidden agendas here.
So many providers have had enough of the administration burden forced on them because of department bureaucracy. We are 💯 saying no to Chart of accounts. The cost and time it will take has to be taken into consideration. NO NO NO @FederationEarly@rodericogorman @dcediy @isme_ie
@MurphyDunne@FederationEarly This could be the end of many small ECCE settings, the life blood of many communities throughout Ireland. What should be a simple process has been turned into a monster by the Dept. A copy of the accounts as provided to Revenue should be sufficient.
Going orange for ECEC Thursday 26th Orange for Quality Led services with fair funding for providers staff & parents. @dcediy must do better!! They are driving dedicated providers and staff out of the sector @MurphyDunne@FederationEarly#UNITEDWESTANDFECP#qualityECECmatters
@dcediy TUSLA data shows on a net basis the sector is shrinking in terms of number of providers. Why don't you publicise the number of temporary and permanent ROOM closures within the services that survive? Or the type of services that are closed, and their locations? Give me a break 🙄
@dcediy Hmm why services that are closed in June still listed as open on Tusla portal e.g 1st rung, brooklands, firhouse, kiddywinks twinkle stars Tricia's little Miss little Angels Tod lodge Maynooth nursery plus 37 more so your 97 +47 =144 fallen colleagues @joeliveline too much spin
We have support from other sectors. Closing our doors is a decision we as providers have not taken likely. @LeoVaradkar@Paschald we need to resolve these issues. It is now very obvious that @rodericogorman and @dcediy are not listening
@FederationEarly are putting Feet on the Streets of Dublin on the 27th June. Protest outside Leinster House. Fee freezes are crippling services. Ecce services trapped and being dictated and stuck in fee freeze since 2010. So many services closing permanently. #feetonthestreets
@rodericogorman@Feljin_J@BHChildcare Have you visited any of the ECCE services that are closing nationwide due to lack of funding Rural Ireland is taking a huge hit. We asked you to do a review and we have had no report back as yet. You did say it would be ready in the first quarter. @FederationEarly
Parents are struggling to find PT places in Dublin. Services are displacing children because CF has failed. Parents and providers on radio speaking out. It’s like a volcano ready to erupt. Department usual spin we are only hearing this from one service. @FederationEarly@isme_ie
◦Parents speaking out about lack of places. Issues with NCS,CF. Lack of places nationwide. Services closing down. Massive waiting lists. No staff to hire. Rural and urban closures in June being ignored. The volcano is erupting @FederationEarly@isme_ie@thisweekrte@Toibin1
