"We are denying a lot of these claims because the NHS numbers come up as fake on the checker website, but it is pushing against the tide. If anyone from above put pressure on to say we aren't just accepting the birth certificate, then we'd be in trouble.

"According to the front of house team,they are turning up and asking the children to be verified there and then. This is endemic, a massive issue and we have nowhere to refer it to."

BABIES ON BOARD

As a father, this image makes me furious.

A baby being passed onto an overcrowded small boat for a dangerous journey across the English Channel.

France is not a war zone.
Britain is not worth risking a child’s life for.

Any adult who knowingly puts a baby through this should face serious consequences.

French authorities should be ashamed that this is still happening on their coastline.

And any organisation found to be facilitating dangerous crossings should be investigated, prosecuted where the evidence supports it, and held fully accountable.

This is not compassion.

Children should never be used as passengers on a journey that could become their grave.

Enough excuses. Stop the boats. Protect the children.

They all "died of heart attacks" by the time they reached England.
