@SsemujjuIN@DoreenNyanjura The painful reality is that many of the reasons given for going to the bush are the same problems Ugandans face today. After nearly 40 years in power, corruption, poor service delivery, unemployment, and poverty cannot be blamed on anyone else.
As a journalist, I have had to listen to boring Museveni speeches for 13 years, and as an MP for 15 years and because I am invited on TVs and radios, this burden is not about to go away. Immagine this afternoon he is wondering why Ugandans go for kyeyo in Dubai which Amin gave food during his reign. According to the 2024 population census, 20 million of the 46 million Ugandans are food insecure, 5.6 million homes still sleeping in one room house, 28 million people using firewood as main source of energy and 14 million people about 31% of the population don’t have two sets of clothes. The economy he has built for 41 years cannot employ 1.7 million people with degrees, diplomas and certificates!
Why is Metoclopramide often prescribed with Tramadol? 🤔💊
✅ The main reason is to prevent or treat nausea and vomiting.
Tramadol is an opioid-like analgesic that commonly causes:
🤢 Nausea
🤮 Vomiting
😵 Dizziness
This happens because tramadol can stimulate the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain and may also slow gastrointestinal motility.
Metoclopramide is an antiemetic and prokinetic agent that:
Blocks dopamine (D₂) receptors in the CTZ
Reduces nausea and vomiting
Increases gastric emptying and GI motility
Therefore, when tramadol is prescribed—especially postoperatively or for moderate-to-severe pain—metoclopramide may be given alongside it to improve patient comfort and reduce opioid-induced gastrointestinal side effects.
⚠️ Important caveat: Both tramadol and metoclopramide can lower the seizure threshold. Caution is advised in patients with epilepsy or other risk factors for seizures.
🎯 Bottom line: Metoclopramide is commonly co-prescribed with tramadol primarily to prevent or treat tramadol-induced nausea and vomiting, while also helping gastric motility. 💊🤝🤢➡️😊
@DrSerunjogiEmma Just a question: Do you consider interns qualified professionals undergoing supervised practice, or do you consider them unqualified individuals?
@faibe69194@faith_nabushawo Advocating for interns' rights and caring for patients are not mutually exclusive. Linking the two is a flawed and emotional argument, not an ethical one. Be guided.
Instead of striking and demanding a reinstatement of the removed internship funds, students sh'd appreciate the support the government has provided over the yrs and respectfully petition 4 reconsideration of their deployment. Dialogue and gratitude achieve more than confrontation
@DerykMusa@NIRA_Ug@KwikirizaNova There is no fairness at NIRA. I paid UGX 50,000 for an ID replacement and waited far beyond the promised period. When a job opportunity that required an ID came up, I missed it because the document had not been issued. Such delays have real consequences for citizens.
@NIRA_Ug@KwikirizaNova I paid UGX 50,000 for replacement of my National ID, but after waiting for over a year, I never received it. I was eventually forced to register for a new ID. I kindly request a refund of the money paid or an explanation regarding my application.Thank you.
@GalaxyFMUg Leadership is about service delivery, not numbers or praise. Ugandans need competent leaders, not an oversized Parliament and inexperienced ministers.
@MR_AMOOTI A disciplined Parliament is important, but what Ugandans need most is effective service delivery. Increasing the number of MPs and appointing inexperienced ministers does not improve the lives of ordinary people. Leadership should focus on competence, accountability, and results.
@CanaryMugume “Thanks, Mugume. Poor Ugandans continue to suffer while the government keeps creating more ministerial positions. Appointing people without expertise to lead important sectors affects service delivery badly. Leadership should be based on competence, not convenience.”
