Learning that social media has influenced religious figures start engaging with their following was interesting.
Pope Francis himself has been having conversation with his religious followers on Twitter highlights the good side of social media!

The TED Talk video talking about Partisanship was interesting to watch. It explains how people engage with each other on the topics of politics, especially on social media.
Too many people want to argue & push their ideology onto everyone, vs having an open-minded conversation.
I really enjoyed Prof. Jonathan Haidt’s video explaining how political groups organize. Speaking up about inequality has proven to be effective time and time again, yet too many groups follow the common enemy tactic.
If America were to adopt the online voting system, how good would the security have to be? Would flashing the Government ID through Skype be the only way to validate a voter, or would we have extra steps to mitigate voter fraud?

It’s interesting reading about how people in different countries equally think that technology has both a positive and negative impact on politics.
Many people like that news can be spread easier through social media, but the same amount fear that misinformation is higher risk.

"For every one person who #Litter's, there's 100 people who would pickup that piece of trash, but in reality, of those 100 less than 1 actually do it.
So bring out a bucket, cleanup some trash, and just have some fun"
Well said @edgarrmcgregor...

The horrifying attacks of 9/11 were devastating to our nation. Unfortunately, Muslims are suffering from hate crimes to this day because they are being blamed for 9/11. Innocent people should not suffer from another's actions. https://t.co/OF0rJLIyvP

The reality of technology and its effects on communication, especially during social distancing. Technology has interrupted the experience of face-to-face interactions #HerlihyEME4390S23
The digital divide is "is the gap between those with Internet access and those without it". In this article it mentions how the digital divide can negatively affect certain groups e.g. access to healthcare. #HerlihyEME4390S23 https://t.co/jHlVXk6b9a.
This article is about the digital divides affect the working class, how they miss out on many things like being able to communicate about jobs, and finding the required tools for such things. It also debates pros and cons of the divide. https://t.co/HOUVzQINsn #HerlihyEME4390S23
I believe that we as all moving towards the end of marginalization in the internet, all it takes is to educate the user & spreading knowledge about it in order to a movement to happen. Unfortunately, inequity still applies to those without access to the internet…
https://t.co/Bd6ZyxIMSl. This article admits that there's no quick fix to the years of systemic racism and discrimination embedded in technology. However, also explains that designing technology around the needs of individuals and communities will decreased marginalization.
