40 years ago today, my first ever World Cup began in Mexico.

The holders, Italy, looked like getting their title defence off to a winning start, but a late Bulgarian equaliser foiled their plans.

Aesthetically, it looks amazing and brings back so many fond memories of loved ones no longer with us, and of a truly wonderful childhood.
