सरदार बल्लभभाई पटेल के मन की भावना और प्रेरणा से यह सोमनाथ मंदिर के जीर्णोद्धार का संकल्प पूरा हुआ 11 मई 1951 को भारत के प्रथम राष्ट्रपति डॉ राजेंद्र प्रसाद के कर कमलों से और श्री सोमनाथ मंदिर में महादेव की नवीन प्राण प्रतिष्ठा कर अपनी आस्था के स्थापत्य का स्वरूप प्राप्त हुआ। जिसके आज 75 साल पूरे हुए हैं और हम सभी महादेव में आस्था रखने वाले सभी देशवासी सोमनाथ पर्व मना रहे हैं ।
