VOIDED BY TRADITION I
Mark 7:13 (KJV): Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.
The Word of God has inherent power to work and produce fruit in the life of the believer.
The guarantee of this is in Isaiah 55:10-11 where the Lord assures us thus, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
This notwithstanding, the scriptures tell us that this power can be nullified by tradition.
Traditions arise when human ideas take the place of the revelation of God pertaining to something.
As a believer, you must be contemplative enough to ask why you do the things that you do. Is it simply because the system you were born into practices them?
Why do you pray? Why do you give to God? Why do you minister to His people?
Prayer is powerful but when done without the revelation of the God to whom you pray and why you pray, it is fruitless.
Fasting can position your spirit to receive what God has already made available for you. But when done without revelation, it is nothing more than missing meals and going hungry.
Serving God attracts its own blessing. The Bible says in Exodus 23:25 that you shall serve the Lord your God and He will bless your bread and water. But if you have no revelation of the God you serve, your labour may easily be in vain.
Glory to God.

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. Your Word is powerful and I believe it. You have given to me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of You. I do not do anything in the gospel merely for the sake of doing it. But I do all these things as unto You, God, who is worthy of all my worship, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

OF HARVESTS
John 4:35(KJV): Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
Harvests are defined by the readiness of things.
What is to be harvested is ripe, primed and all set.
The challenge with many believers is their inability to see the readiness for harvest. They inevitably forget that for anything to qualify as harvest-ready, its ripening was done and concluded by God Himself.
Take the example of souls.
You may want to preach to a brother but because he is hostile every time you start to talk about Jesus Christ, you assume he is not prepared yet to God, he is in fact ready to be won to the Kingdom of light.
You may consider a nation that is indulging in all manner of sin and disobedience and you come to the conclusion that it is not ready for revival.
That is you overlooking the fact that it is indeed ready for a great move of the Spirit.
God wants you to look past all the physical attributes reflecting unreadiness and believe that in His power and wisdom, He has already made things ready.
Hallelujah!

PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this word. I am grateful for the wisdom to recognize the things that are ready and prepared for me to harvest. I do not see as the world sees but as You see. I reach out to the lost with this understanding and by it, I draw many to Your everlasting Kingdom, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
