Um. No.
Tony Gilroy was, by his own admission, a “Star Wars” novice, and he ended up running circles around the guy who showran “Clone Wars” and “Rebels.”
Not falling for the contrarian cycle, this is a perfectly cogent critique of the unwillingness of audiences to suspend disbelief for the sole purpose of trying to “outsmart” the text
@ComicsMeta I want comics to be more mainstream !! I am privileged to live in a country able to keep up with usa releases but they're still so neiche that for most of the population a "local" comic book store is a myth!! I want more people reading comics NOW
I pray for the day where comics are more accepted as literature like in other countries. When superheroes arent seen as the dominant force they are today. Any fan that claims to be a comic fan but only read cape stuff, please broaden you reading material. You'll love it here.
Comic books should absolutely never return to being seen as a “niche hobby for nerds and weirdos.” They should be seen as a legitimate artform anyone can get into and enjoy. Why would you WANT it to be stigmatized?

I've been saying this a lot lately. Its pathetic how these men have become so infantile. I dont even like calling myself a fan anymore. Fandom has become the love of toys slamming into eachother
it's amazing how power scaling obsessed people do everything in their power to try to make it seem like power scaling is the same as narrative consistency. No, a writer writing a story with conflict is not them "powerscaling" the characters in the conflict.
@ivomgs If anything the problem is trying to make "apolitical" Punisher stories. Garth Ennis understood the assignment and made sure to use the character to interrogate the politics of the US Military Industrial Complex and the criminal justice system. that's why it's so good!
Waiting for the day that people realize powerscaling isn’t the end all be all of fight scenes, and that the thematic and dramatic core of the stories don’t always care about who can punch harder
Joker needs to be less serial killer and be more of a prankster again. He should still be a psychopath but reduce the sadistic vibe, it’s gotten too far now. Give him back his iconic gadgets.
