Google is fighting every final boss at once:
OpenAI & Anthropic in models, Nvidia in chips, AWS & Microsoft in cloud, Meta in ads, Tesla in self-driving, Apple in phones and OS.
At $4.6T, it feels weirdly undervalued.
In the last 20 years,
- rupee has depreciated from 45 to 98
- we had oil spike to 140 and crash below 20
- pandemic
- global financial crises
- wars
- bank collapses
- demonetization
- multiple mini panics
And yet the India economy has grown ~ 7% CAGR and markets have grown at 13-14% over the same period
Thank god, i learnt an important lesson early in my investing career to ignore the noise and just keeping investing bottoms up, in good companies
While others wait for the perfect time and full clarity to deploy capital, optimists like me will keep investing through the gloom and doom
Major life hack: Don't complain, ever. Nobody likes a complainer. They drain the energy of everyone around them. It's exhausting spending time around someone who constantly complains about things outside their control. If it’s within your control, go do something about it. If it’s not, you’re just wasting energy thinking about it. Complaining gives too much power to the thing. Take back that power.
I trained this @ltx_model LTX 2.3 LoRA of George Costanza at home on my 5090 in about a day with AI Toolkit. I generated this 30 second video with @ComfyUI on my 5090 in 6 minutes. Open source is, always has been, and always will be, the future of generative AI. (SOUND ON)
NEW SCAM BY OLA DRIVERS IN BANGALORE
Extremely disturbing experience with an Ola ride today from Majestic to Jalahalli, Bengaluru.
The ride initially showed a fare of ₹285 in the Ola app. However, after reaching my destination, the driver showed a bill of ₹5950 on his phone and demanded that I pay the full amount. He claimed that I had cancelled some old rides and that the amount would be deducted from his account if I did not pay.
When I tried to explain that my app clearly showed ₹285, the driver started becoming aggressive and repeatedly insisted that I must pay ₹5950.
Since he was speaking mostly in Kannada and I am not fluent in the language, the situation quickly became stressful and difficult to manage.
I then contacted Ola’s emergency support through the app expecting immediate help. Unfortunately, the response from the support representative was extremely disappointing and dismissive. Instead of trying to understand the situation or deescalate it, she repeatedly questioned whether it was a “safety issue”.
When I explained that please consider it as unsafe and that I felt unsafe, the representative responded in a rude and dismissive manner and abruptly disconnected the call stating that it was “not an emergency”. At that moment I was left alone to deal with an increasingly tense situation with the driver.
Fortunately, my house owner arrived at the scene, understood the situation, and advised the driver that we should go to the police station to resolve the matter. I followed him on his bike while the driver followed us in the cab. However, midway the driver suddenly rerouted and fled the area.
This entire experience was extremely stressful and raises serious concerns about:
• Fare transparency on the platform
• Driver conduct
• The attitude and responsiveness of Ola’s emergency support team
An emergency line that dismisses passengers during a tense situation defeats the very purpose of having a safety feature.
@Olacabs@bhash@BlrCityPolice Can you please help with this situation. I can share all the details.
Just a day back silver uses were Semiconductor, Chip , Industrial and what not. After this crash people realised it has been only used in Kaju Katli 🤣🤣
He’s trying to hide his embarrassment.
He needn’t be. There is no shame in taking up odd jobs in tough times of a career.
The humiliation is not his. It’s that of his female classmate - who most certainly is thriving on the crumbs thrown by her parents.
India is a Strange Country tbh!
We have a Dog Lobby, a Pigeon Lobby.
But No Pothole Lobby, No Footpath Lobby, No Food Safety Lobby — the things that actually save lives. 🤦♂️
When NOT to use Cursor: when learning something new (like LangGraph). Cursor keeps jumping in with autofill while you’re still figuring things out. Feels like that smart kid in class who won’t stop interrupting others trying to learn. Super annoying!
Someone asked, how do I invest in mutual funds for my child? Today @PosteAnil gives you the answer. Open a free account on MF Utilities & simply follow the process below. Update the child's KYC when he/she turns 18 & let them take over. https://t.co/eMPfQHcof1
Not a lot of people understand this... but you actually don’t have to have an opinion about everything. You don’t have to decide if something is good or bad. Marcus Aurelius says limiting the amount of opinions we have is one of the most powerful things we can do in life.
it doesn’t matter how worse you are at something than someone else - all that matters is how better you are at it than yourself from last week, last month or last year
