Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NICDC Logistics Data Services (NLDS) a logistics digital and data arm of National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC), functioning under the guidance and support of National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), which represents the Government of India’s institutional framework for driving technology-enabled reforms in logistics and industrial infrastructure.

This collaboration will enable data-driven policy making, establish API-based data exchange between MSME and NLDS to help MSME reap benefits of comprehensive logistics interface.

The MoU has been signed by Smt. Anuja Bapat, Deputy Director General, Office of DC(MSME) and Shri Arvind Devaraj, COO, NLDS in presence of the officers of the Ministry and NLDS.

APEDA released the report titled “Supply Chain and Export Readiness for Organic Farm Products in Sikkim” during the inauguration session of the Sikkim Organic Conclave cum Buyer–Seller Meet held in Gangtok on 27 February 2026.

The release took place in the presence of Shri Puran Kumar Gurung, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Government of Sikkim; Shri Abhishek Dev, Chairman, APEDA; Shri Jigmee Dorjee Bhutia, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Agriculture & Horticulture, Government of Sikkim; and Ms. Jennifer H. Chang, Executive Director, IFOAM Organics Asia.

Prepared by NICDC Logistics Data Services Ltd. (NLDSL), the study presents a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen Sikkim’s organic export ecosystem through enhanced infrastructure, streamlined processes, improved aggregation, transparent price discovery and strategic market positioning. The report outlines actionable measures to enhance export competitiveness while ensuring sustainability, traceability and farmer-centric growth.

The initiative marks a significant step toward positioning Sikkim’s organic produce as premium offerings in global markets.
