Kudos to @Dev_Fadnavis for this fun and amazing experience.

On my way to the airport, my driver asked if we could hear Jai Ho. I thought he meant on the phone. “He meant on the road”.

Mumbai now has India’s first musical road, a 500-metre stretch on the Coastal Road where specially carved grooves play the tune of Jai Ho when you drive at around 70–80 km/h. No speakers. Just tyres, vibrations and clever engineering. (Info : Economic times).

Only a handful of countries have melody roads like this, and Mumbai is now on that list!

Wish I could have recorded it, but by the time I realised what was happening, we had already crossed the stretch. Looks like I’ll have to go back just to hear it again! ♥️♥️

During my Independence Day Speech, I had spoken about our intention to bring the Next-Generation reforms in GST.

The Union Government had prepared a detailed proposal for broad-based GST rate rationalisation and process reforms, aimed at ease of living for the common man and strengthening the economy.

Glad to state that @GST_Council, comprising the Union and the States, has collectively agreed to the proposals submitted by the Union Government on GST rate cuts & reforms, which will benefit the common man, farmers, MSMEs, middle-class, women and youth.

The wide ranging reforms will improve lives of our citizens and ensure ease of doing business for all, especially small traders and businesses.

Urgent: Unwarranted Bank Account Freezes Impacting Indian Businesses...... ❄️💳🚫

We are deeply concerned about the increasing instances of unwarranted bank account freezes by cybercrime police. These actions are causing severe disruption to businesses, particularly traders who are not involved in any cyber crime, with no prior notice or due process.

🚫🔍🤷‍♂️ Lack of Transparency: The absence of clear communication from both police and banks regarding the reasons for account freezes is creating immense uncertainty and hardship for businesses.

🔇⚖️🤷‍♂️ Disregard for Legal Precedents: Madras High Court judgments emphasizing the need for proportionate action (freezing only the amount directly involved in the alleged crime) are being consistently ignored.

🚫💔🔒 Erosion of Trust: These actions erode trust between businesses and the financial system, hindering economic growth.

We urge Shri @praveendel ji to urgently intervene with the @HMOIndia and the @FinMinIndia to:

* Establish clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for bank account freezes.

* Mandate transparent communication between police, banks, and affected businesses.

* Ensure strict adherence to legal precedents regarding the scope of account freezes.

* Strengthen safeguards to prevent the misuse of these powers. 💪🛡️

The continued unchecked freezing of bank accounts poses a significant threat to the Indian economy. We implore the authorities to take immediate action to address this critical issue to build confidence in traders to use UPI payments fearlessly.
