The impact to OS of Yuga's move off Seaport is being grossly misrepresented by the pro permissioned ownership crowd.
Yuga assets are only ~10% of OS's volume.
Additionally, Yuga's highest volume collections aren't on upgradable contracts and thus will remain on Seaport/OS so the impact quickly becomes less than 5%.
The same people who believed OS when they framed the introduction of the operator filter last year as some sort of altruistic act to "support creators" are the same people falling hook, line, and sinker for Yuga's narrative that their move off Seaport is all about "empowering creators".
Make no mistake these are all cutthroat business decisions that have nothing to do with supporting small artist and to pretend this is the case is deeply inauthentic.
I stand by the same thing that I said last year when OS announced the operator filter:
"My fear is that many artists can’t tell the difference between virtuous efforts to preserve royalties and billion-dollar corporations playing game theory with each other."
I'll leave you with the TLDR of the truth after watching this multi-year escapade of trying to preserve NFT royalties on Ethereum:
1. The trend line for royalties has been down and to the right for the past 2 years. No matter how many people tweet misinformation or bizarre narratives royalties WILL go to zero. A mature NFT market will not tolerate such a market inefficiency in the long-run.
2. Enforcing royalties through a permissioned ownership model is akin to going back to Web2. The beauty of crypto-economic networks is that we remove centralized entities from the equation. One read of a history book and you will come to the conclusion that given enough time, centralized authorities will ALWAYS turn on their constituents. The only solution is to remove them from the equation. In 2008, for the first time ever, Satoshi Nakamoto gave us a tool to do this. Anyone fighting to put a centralized entity between you and the asset that you hold WILL be on the wrong side of history when this is all said and done.
Lastly, a huge shoutout to @SeaLaunch_ for creating this awesome dune dashboard to help educate people about the actual data amidst so many tweets that try to warp reality in order to fit a narrative that will financially benefit a select group of people at the cost of self-sovereign ownership for the collector:

🧵Reflection 🤔: Money & Crypto.
This is an interesting reflection to analyze why cryptocurrencies can have practical utility to function as money 🤑 (within many other utilities).
To start this, question, why do you think money was invented?
