@qatarairways I’ve waited in line for the past 50 mins at the @yulaeroport to drop my bags.
This was not what I expected when I checked in online 48 hours before my flight.
Your staff cooly told me, “you should’ve gone in the regular line”.
Disgusting.
@fredsteenbergen@litterati@discord I hear you, but I’d also want to point you to the possibility that outside our existing community, there’s opportunities to grow and individuals like those from GenZ don’t even use Facebook (where our existing community sits). Data requests are tricky. Let me follow up on yours.
@LukeShoeFitter @litterati@discord And we’d definitely want individuals like yourself who have been able to connect with folks around the world to share your knowledge and bring more people together 💫
@LukeShoeFitter @litterati@discord That’s a great question Luke, today our power users sit on Facebook groups, they’re the most active ones on Litterati, but the individuals who come in onto our platform from different backgrounds and age groups might not even have Facebook are missing out hence, this may help
We have individuals who've contributed to the #LitterData, people who have used our #OpenData platform, and groups that are #mobilizing others because they believe in the power of data.
The #Litterati community is documenting litter in order to collect “proof” of the problem around them.
The #MLKDay of Service empowers individuals, strengthens communities, bridges barriers, creates solutions to social problems, and moves us closer to Dr. King's vision.
To everyone who jumped in to amplify this goal, we did it!
Congratulations @SylviaEarle@subseaconcierge
With this #LitterData we are able to understand the what, where and when of litter.
@julietaSpace@litterati@jeffkirschner I believe we considered only material that is typically recyclable PETE or HDPE. Of course there isn’t the perfect way to determine litter and what type of plastic it is, but we took a look at common objects that are made up of those two types of plastics.
When we collect litter #data we are able to understand the composition of what is littered and who is producing these. It enables us to open dialogue with these organizations and brands to help create a litter free world!
