No, my next proposal after you vote yes on this is for you to make a portion of the grant money available in a wallet controlled by the ICP DAO so we can send it to him.
You (@dfinity) need to give him the money, not us, we are barely surviving thanks to your terrible funding allocations thus far.
You can love Jon and compliment him all the way to the failure of his projects if you want Jan, we will just see this.
Explaining alien tech is hard 👽
That's why @manudrijvers, @afat, @lastmjs, @ScaletonOne, @can_scale, & @kylelangham are doing a deep dive into the Tokamak, Stellarator, & Beryllium milestones, now LIVE on #ICP

@afat@bjoerntm It literally just makes the cycles disappear, see the documentation here https://t.co/Cu7gJYnjqB. Eg the Bitcoin canister uses this, it receives cycles from callers, but doesn't spend them as it's on a system subnet, so it burns those cycles using this API.
@nitsch_kn For further context, they gave #ICP's #ckBTC the same risk evaluation as Stacks, and almost all projects they reviewed are rated as higher risk than #ICP and Stacks.
@nitsch_kn I think it's important to look at https://t.co/itdEcvpUWV. They have guidelines on what they consider high risk, and measure different "layers" against those. They consider a lot of things high risk, but I do think they do it fairly.
@sowmaler We considered this, but your proposed solution would also incur double fees, because since ETH is account based, we need all funds in a single account. So it would be eg CEX -> user deposit address -> central pot, which has similar fees to now CEX -> metamask/oisy -> ckToken.
Kicked off #ICP's 3rd anniversary with a bang 🎉
Tritium Milestone, powered by Chain Fusion, is now LIVE
