On-air talent Katie Phang announced today that she is taking legal action against the Trump DOJ for actively concealing Epstein documents in violation of federal law.

“I rely on compliance with the law to do my job as a journalist,” Phang said. “But when there is active concealment going on by way of violation of a federal statute, I cannot do my job. And so I’m suing.”

Phang is also asking the court to appoint an independent special master to review the files, that is to say someone outside the DOJ who isn’t beholden to Trump or the victims, but works for the American people.

This lawsuit is a direct challenge to the Trump administration’s blatant attempt to bury the Epstein files and protect powerful people connected to the scandal.
