Epic Games on Unreal Engine 6
"for UE6, we see LLMs, generative AI models, and tools like Claude and Codex playing a central role in helping you build content faster while maintaining the creative control you need"
This is seriously inspiring 🤯
Love how Makan Gilani focuses on movement, shape, and reusable procedural systems instead of relying on flashy visuals. That “AAA feel” with simple forms is such a powerful reminder that great game feel starts with strong animation and design.
Fumito Ueda says he treats every game like it might be his last, which is why he puts everything he has into each project.
Talking about Gen Atlas, the Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian creator said,
“Every time I’m making something, you never know when or if there’s a next. So I give it my absolute everything for every single project that I’ve done to date, and that is exactly the same as what I’m doing with Gen Atlas as well.”
Ueda also said genDESIGN doesn’t use AI for “game development.”
Despite AI becoming more common in the industry, the studio still relies on its own developers and traditional workflows.
“I’m not trying to make something perfect. I’m trying to make the best thing possible within the time that I have.”
Ueda said Gen Atlas has no direct ties to Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, or The Last Guardian.
We are pleased to announce that 'PROJECT: ROBOT' is officially titled 'gen ATLAS', the latest project from genDESIGN.
A new trailer is also now out - we hope you enjoy watching it.
