The @aca_kenya has issued a position statement following recent public discussions surrounding an alleged counterfeit goods enforcement operation concerning Shiquo Hii Style.
ACA reiterates that counterfeit goods undermine legitimate businesses, intellectual property rights, innovation, and consumer confidence. The Authority also emphasizes that seizure of suspected counterfeit goods does not amount to a finding of guilt and that all enforcement actions are undertaken within the framework of the law and due process.
The Authority encourages entrepreneurs and brand owners to protect their innovations through trademark registration and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Recordation, which strengthen legal protection against infringement and counterfeiting.
Together, we can build a marketplace where genuine businesses thrive and consumers purchase with confidence @citizentvkenya@K24Tv@tv47news@ntvkenya@StandardKenya@Kenyans@Realkangethe

One of the biggest misconceptions in innovation:
"Invention = Innovation"
Not quite.
An invention becomes an innovation only when it creates value for people.
A prototype in a lab is not innovation, while a product that changes lives is.
Kenya has brilliant inventors.
What we often lack is a stronger connection between:
🔬 Researchers ⚙️ Manufacturers 💰 Investors 🛒 Customers
Building those bridges may be more important than creating the next invention.

Did you know?
A patent does NOT automatically mean an invention works commercially.
The real questions are:
• Is there a market?
• Can it be manufactured?
• Is it affordable?
• Will people adopt it?
Innovation is as much a business challenge as it is a technical one.
Most people think innovation ends when an invention is patented.
In reality, that's where the hard work begins.
A patent protects an idea.
Commercialization turns it into value.
The gap between the two is where many great inventions disappear.
